This is the third time weve stayed at the Crossways, breaking our journey on our way from the North to Cornwall.||To be honest, it was a bit of a mixed bag.||Every time we stay, we always stay in the family room, which for the money is one of the best family rooms Ive ever stayed in anywhere. Itd been re decorated again, since we stayed last year and theyd added a walk in shower, to the already massive modern bathroom.||The room really is fantastic, super modern, comfy, finished to a very high standard, inc all the bedding, toiletries, with a massive flat screen tv and lots of tea / coffees / hot chocolate.||The only downside to the room, is that the room is adjacent to the busy main road at the front of the pub, so theres a bit of road noise, which starts early with it being a rural area ( not the fault of the pub )||We had an evening meal as a family and this wasnt great. Weve previously eaten every time weve stayed and the food and service has always been spot on. Im not sure what happened this time, as the staff didnt seem very happy about something, which affected the service.||Everything took an absolute age, from waiting to have our orders to be taken, to getting our food.||We didnt order anything fancy, chilli, chicken kebab and a kids meal, but it took nearly an hour from ordering to getting it and everyone else around us had the same problem too.||The food, when it came was " okay ", not as good as the last times weve stayed, just nothing special.||We had a good nights sleep and everything clicked into gear again during breakfast, as the lady who looked after everyone really was lovely and super friendly, even remembering us from last year !||The breakfasts are superb, with a massive choice of everything you could possibly want.||All in all a bit of a mixed bag, but I,m putting the dining experience down to a one off, as everything else was pretty...

Me and my other half stayed at this B&B my experience was very 50/50, the bedroom had a very comfortable bed, very nice shower and also had AC, it does have free parking directly opposite too. The one thing I kept seeing on the reviews was how good the breakfast was. Now me and my other half are Gluten Free and Vegan, we asked when we got to the hotel do you have gluten free breakfasts here and the gentleman said absolutely we cater for gluten free no problem at all, in the morning just sit down at a table and the ladies will sort everything for you. We wake up very hungry looking forward to our breakfast, we head downstairs and headed to our table we was the first ones down.....yet we get ignored and the woman decided to serve the next couple that came down after us 3 minutes later. We shrugged it off and got on with it. When the woman finally decided to come and asked what we would like we both asked for a vegan breakfast and asked if the food was gluten free, she came back and said yes. (Bare in mind if either me or my partner have any kind of meat related food or if anything is fried in same oil we would instantly know about it.) We got our breakfast and when eating, it did taste a bit strange but thought nothing of it. By the time we got our bags and drove 2 miles we had to rush to the nearest service station toilets and we was stuck on the toilet for an hour. Im not giving this a low rating as we did enjoy the room but this is a warning to all Gluten Free and Vegan customers when it comes to the breakfast stick with what you know is good for you, unless you want to end up with very severe...

We live about 20 minutes away, but often pass by The Crossways Inn on our way to Burnham or Weston. Some friends of ours mentioned it was great food there, as they’d been recently. So, we booked up and all went. They were right, the food was AMAZING. I had the 10oz Sirloin (done medium rare). Very good price and superbly cooked. The chips were proper chips, not from a frozen bag. Absolutely perfect. My wife had Lamb Kofta and our friends had the New York Chicken New Yorker which they all said was delicious. We went on a Thursday evening. There was loads of atmosphere, but it wasn’t heaving, though the restaurant filled up over the next few hours. You didn’t have to wait long at the bar to order drinks, the staff were all genuinely friendly, and very efficient. This 17th century Coaching Inn is a great stop off point if you’re on a long journey. It’s got loads of olde world charm. It’s family run, and the food is top notch. Loads of parking available. I see also that they are Somerset CAMRA Pub o the Year 2024 also. Well done. As we live close by we didn’t stay, just ate at the restaurant. Highly recommended.

Excellent little hidden gem. We visited for lunch on a Thursday and it was amazing! Proper, good quality homemade pub food, was served by a lovely team of ladies who were polite and friendly. The place was clean and had an incredible selection of drinks. Lots of local beers and ciders and an extensive menu. All 3 of our dishes were stunning and well worth the money. Having recently moved close by we will be visiting a lot more. A couple things to note, it gets very busy (rightly so) so need to book in advance for sure, and service charge wasn’t included for our lunch.

Lovely looking place, nice interior & ambiance.locals realky made us feel welcome, thanks to all the company on our table 🌈Shared a day here with friends and family after funeral,we travelled to attend from a fair distance and were in need of some food around 8pm only to be asked if we'd booked a table and that they were at full capacity " lots of unused tables" ? Asked if snack food available like 4 basket of chips before travelling home only to be totally ignored.☹
