What a lovely place. As soon as you walk in you get the wow factor, but a word to the wise you need to book as this place gets busy. We were met by the barman who was helpful and friendly and arranged our drinks and showed us to our table. We then met the wonderful waitress who was also helpful and friendly. The chef serving the carvery food was so friendly and we did have a laugh, it certainly makes a difference when staff make you feel welcome. Food was very reasonably priced and tasted so good. Would highly recommend and well done everyone.

Called in here on the first night we arrived in Highbridge (staying just down the road from the pub). Food was fantastic, good sized portions at a good price & friendly staff. I had the lasagne & it was the best that I have had for years! So tasty & piping hot. Hubby had the shepherds pie, this was also very tasty. Would definitely recommend & visit again if in the area ⭐

What a lovely place. As soon as you walk in you get the wow factor, but a word to the wise you need to book as this place gets busy. We visit The Orchard whenever we fancy a nice local carvery or some good pub grub. Popped in yesterday and had the ribeye from the specials board. Steak was beautiful, onion rings were crispy and the chips were very good and it all tasted amazing. Partner had Ham, egg and chips which is always really good with a side of chicken nuggets, proper chicken breast and very tasty! Specials board is updated regularly and always good, dessert board is updated quite regularly too. Nice atmosphere, Connor is always very welcoming and the waitstaff are always very helpful and friendly. Nice family run pub with very very good food, fantastic gravy! and just a nice atmosphere overall. Make sure to book for the carvery, it does get busy. The place to have Sunday lunch in Somerset. I was there last Sunday (May 12th 2019). They always cater for beef lovers like me - I like mine rare and there is always a joint of beef that caters for that. If you don't, they always have a second joint to cater for those who don't like the pinkness in their meat! Rounded off with a homemade desert (all deserts are homemade!). It is so lovely to go to an establishment that cooks from scratch and serves real food, rather than the food like substances that most other places serve up.

Totally gutted that I can't go tomorrow (May 19th) because there will be a lamb special on the carvery. Lamb from their own farm!! This is one not...

Star dropped overall due to:-- Conveniences not so convenient for someone disabled or on crutches, due to two steps. This is THE ONLY DOWNSIDE to this place..

We love the food here, especially the cottage pie.. Food is served with several choices of FRESH VEG, which doesn't make many menus these days, and not everything comes with chips! I'd eat there everyday if I could get away with it. Found staff and customers equally friendly too. Always find the place clean, even when busy. PS. If you decide on take-out (face it, food that good you want for dinner n tea next day, imho) take own containers, order an extra dinner and load..that's...
