I have recently moved to the area and have been looking for a decent cafe for light lunches and bites to eat and stumbled across this on the way to Grately station, and resolved to visit. I visited for a working lunch with some colleagues from my office and ordered a Bacon & Egg sandwich with a side of chips. Fully expecting the usual two slices and tiny egg I was surprised to see a loaded bun with an egg that still has a yolk. It was cooked to perfection with a crisp bite that allows more flavour through. The service was good. It was very busy and there was a slight wait but it wasn’t long and enough time to get some Sun before the food arrived. The menu has a selection for all. Burgers to salads, Baps and baguettes. Very good. Good prices, polite staff and good food. Will visit again.

What can I say, good food, good prices and good people. Dinky's Diner, it's always a pleasure to eat there. The food is fresh, they have a good selection on the menu especially the milkshakes. The staff are always nice and very polite, parking is not too bad and you can always get food to take away. It's a good place so there are always customers there but it's never too busy to have to worry. I only wish they were open on weekends.

Bad coffee! Searched on google for a good coffee stop on our journey. With 4.7 score and comments on good coffee we decided to head to it. Wish we hadn’t. Coffee is from a pod machine and watery. Yuck! We ordered Flat whites and weren’t told it was from a pod machine. Also beware… the lids don’t fit the cup so with how boiling it’s served be careful when you drink from it that you don’t burn yourself.

I stopped at the Dinky Diner late morning for a quick bite on the way to a job. The owner was friendly and chatty and everything looks very clean and tidy and the new diner is such a massive improvement over the old shack. I had a bacon and egg roll and a coffee. The bacon was part-cooked already the fried for the roll and the eggs were cooked fresh. The roll was a large cob. The coffee was instant but still nice. Prices were average - it certainly didn't feel expensive and service was quick. My only thought for a slight improvement really was the bread roll: it was a big roll and a bit on the dry side. That meant a lot of dryish bread (albeit with margarine on) to go with the bacon and egg. I think if I'd only had bacon it might have been a bit of a struggle. Maybe fresher bread or something softer like a bap and it would have...

I used to come here once in a blue moon when I used to drive tanks. Possibly one of the only places that do a bacon and brie panini. However I now get the pleasure of a bacon and brie panini every time I'm up doing the sheep now so it works out great. Great quality food at a decent price. Not many places sell quality food on the go anymore and fortunately dinky's is always consistent. For as long as I have stock in Cholderton I will...
