I go to this pub every time I go home to see my parents. It is a proper pub, not some fancy imitation themed pub. The pub makes its own beer which tastes as good as any I have ever tasted; I live in London and if the Dog and Gun's beer was served in a London "craft beer" pub it would easily be £6 a pint.
I last went 3 days ago and there was a roaring coal fire in the bar area which was kicking out lots of cosy heat. The bar man is alway friendly and welcoming.
