Eight Farmers — Restaurant in England

I would have put 0 stars If I could, I have never been treated so poorly in all my life by a blonde girl behind the bar on Saturday night 23rd March 2025. I ordered a strongbow dark fruits yet when asking for a strongbow dark fruits she walked off and she started to pour an original maybe she heard the first part as she walking off when trying to get her attention bearing in mind I have a stammer. I was rudely spoken to by her saying “you should have just said dark fruits who says strongbow dark fruits” she is shouting at me giving me and my partner verbal homophobic abuse towards us and she was demanding that I had to pay for that drink if I wanted to order anymore drinks. Quite frankly the issue wouldn’t have arised if she had better customer service skills and not customer service skills of a dog. This place is not a place for same sex couples. I then proceeded to ask for the young girls name and another staff member started laughing in my face and stated that her name is apparently ‘Sarah’ which was blatant that I was given a fake name. I will be taking this further with marstons themselves. I will also be ringing up the eight farmers at some point to be speaking to the manager to put in a formal complaint because she seriously needs more training on customer service and to be reported for homophobia. Went to the fair tonight as I live behind it, and it’s been a complete racket all weekend. Someone from the Eight Farmers has posted a letter just explaining the fair and it’s ammenities and apologised for the inconvenience, the letter stated that we could get money off our food and drinks. Anyway I went to go into the Eight Farmers with two of my friends, all of us over the age of 18 and we’re told “no you can’t come in, no teenagers” I passed them my ID and so did my two friends. To which the lady guarding the door replied “if you’re 18, I’m f** 19” I laughed and let her have a look at my ID, to which she gave it me back and said “Well you’re not coming in anyway”. One of my friends asked why and the lady replied “Cause we said so, and she owns it”. Why should I be denied access from a local pub when all I needed was the toilet and a drink of coke, it’s absolutely disgusting the way some people act, and really unprofessional considering it was the owner/owners. Very intimidating ladies and just down right rude, you don’t expect that especially when you then see other children walking in and out of the pub, those of which looked...

The four of us like Karoke and decided to give the Eight Farmers a go to see what it was like and maybe recommend the place to all of our Karoke friends. The clientel were friendly to us, the KJ was okay and the drinks prices were pretty much on a par with other local pubs. So far so good! HOWEVER, there were two young female bar staff who were incredibly ignorant. miserable and had a negative attitude. The dark haired one kept going outside for a few minutes instead of doing her job and the blonde one looked angry about it but was too afraid to say anything! The attitude of these two was awful. In addition, their apporach was that if someone fairly new like the four of us came to the bar to be served, if a regular customer came along after us to be served then THEY would be served first while we were left waiting!!
