Went for the Sunday buffet. At first glance I thought there were only four options. But three of the serving trays you see in the first photo are divided into three compartments each. So you end up with nine curries (four vegetarian) and rice. On the side tables there is salad and sauces and dessert. You also get a naan bread included in the £20 price. The curries were all delicious but the lamb one is just amazing. Loved the vegetarian curry too. The naan was baked fresh and tasted very good. Had a look at their a la carte menu too and the selections looked very good and diverse. Would go back definitely.

We had such a delicious meal here, trying a variety of dishes including lamb, chicken, and spinach potato (aloo saag). Everything was beautifully cooked and full of flavour. The naan was a standout—especially the peshawari naan, which quickly became my favourite with its sweet, nutty filling. The portion sizes were generous—we were a group of five and still had leftovers! The atmosphere was lovely, relaxed and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a great spot for sharing plates and a good time with friends or family.

Plenty of parking, spacious inside and quick, friendly service. Bit chilly at first in the early evening but warmed up. Good selection of chutneys with the pappadoms. Would like to see a veggie Dhansak offered but tried the Tofu for a change which you can have mild, medium or hot. The hot version was like a madras, not bad, would like some veggies in there too. My wife’s chicken Pathia was a bit too spicy. Good value with an offer. Thumbs up over all.

Had our dinner here as always thought I should try this place looking at its name ‘Emperor of India’. Lol, I bluffed myself . So we went for dinner here having high expectations, ordered 2 beers, 2 garlic nans, 1 keema rice, 1 chicken biriyani, 1 mutton dish, 4 papadams… the food service was quick and hence I have given 1 star. Rest was nightmare. Had to dig into the bowls to find lamb pieces , and even in the chicken biriyani there were hardly any chicken. The taste was ofcourse nothing near to the Indian standard (speaking this being an Indian) , very oily. Well we somehow finished the food as had no other choice as we were hungry and kids were sleepy. Then the bill came and any guesses how much it was ?????? £70 .. I had no idea why on earth we spent so much for such minimum food with minimum quantity and not even near to Indian taste!!! Must have charged us for the oil 😂… and then the story did not end there , my son had a bad bad tummy ache and I woke up 2 times in the middle of the night to rush to the toilet !!! Nightmare!!! Something was not right with the food, and well ofcourse the money they took (robbed) from us was not justified. Please please if you don’t want to get ripped off or do not want to get sick, DO NOT GO HEFE TO...

OKay this REVIEW IS more to do with the STAFF . My car was parked at the restaurant they have CCTV camera there. I came out of the restaurant around 8 30pm and my rear window was smashed. The manager came out and instead being considerate informed me and my friends have you NOT READ THE SIGN it has been happening.

Firstly i believe it is the restaurants Policy to verbally tell customers that please make sure NOT to keep your belongings inside the trunk we have been having incidents LIKE THESE

Secondly, some people working for the restaurant came out and just started to laugh and joke about this. I would have given them piece of my mind but thought no point.

I am still waiting for the restaurant to check and call me or the police using their CCTV but unfortunately they are not bothered . The manager was too important serving the food and taking notes instead of helping me then and there

If you guys are reading this review i am just going to warn you NOW MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR BAGS EITHER INSIDE THE DASHBOARD OR AT THE RESTAURANT .

THIS RESTAURANT SHOULD HIRE A SECURITY GUARD IF THEY HAVE BEEN HAVING...

I was staying in a nearby hotel so ventured in here on a Tuesday evening to find the place unsurprisingly quiet. The welcome was warm and I was soon tucked in with a cobra and some popadums. This is a large place (an old pub) so I can see it getting busy later in the week. Service was good and my food when it arrived was OK. Nothing earth shattering but it was an above average curry with good service. So why only 3 stars. Because of the price. For what I had, I would expect to pay in the region of about £30 to £35 in a good curry house. But on this occasion the bill was £50!!! There is simply no way to justify that. The food simply wasn't THAT good and the venue simply wasn't that special. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my meal and the service was good but the menu is simply overpriced compared to...
