UPDATE : I think everyone will agree that it's been a year like no other like its been delivered direct from hell for us all! However, the staff at Esposito's Deli Runcorn you deserve so much more credit and thanks than you are ever given. While everything else has been falling apart you have managed to keep going strong no matter what. You are constantly on the go, rushing around yet you ALWAYS serve with a smile and kindness no matter what, even faced with rude or thankless customers. Well done, you are amazing and I'm eternally grateful for the service you provide especially in the face of this global pandemic. You are an amazing team, and i hope you know how appreciated you are! Without you, myself and Noah would not have survived as well these past few months! Love you all
Read moreI've been going to the cafe in Runcorn since it opened and loved it but have seen a deterioration in the cafe. It was much better when they made the food on the premises because now when they run out, that's it. They can't just make you another sandwich. I also wish that they'd return to the choice of sandwiches that they used to sell a while ago.
I definitely don't like the paper plates they now serve the food on. Don't like the mugs either. I much preferred the cups and saucers. And why no salt and pepper anymore. They used to have satchets.
Also the ice cream should be a separate queue like it was previously. It was working well then. For some reason they moved the ice cream counter to the till end and it takes ages now to be served when it's busy, specially in school holidays.
The worst thing of all is all the dogs that are allowed in. It's horrible when they start barking and yapping and some small dogs practicality sitting on the tables or sniffing the table. There is a sign that warns the dogs will have to be removed if they bark too much but this isn't enforced. Not enough staff to carry out I don't think (staff are lovely). It's a shame but it's putting me off from going there now. There are definitely less people going because of the dogs.

Read moreI have just been here to buy 2 brunch sandwiches and 2 coffees but walked out. There were 3 staff that I could see. 2 chits on the counter and no queue, one lady waiting for her coffees only. The young girl serving decided it was more important to stand holding the door of the oven, and occasionally open it, than to serve me. The other lady on the till decided it was more important to hover over the till than to serve. The other member of staff was making drinks. I waited around 7 to 10 minutes before I walked out. Staff need to be trained correctly. Plus not a lot of choice if you don’t want a sandwich on thick ciabatta. So much potential here. I have worked in catering for 30 years and cannot understand how this place is so unorganised. This could offer so much for the local due to its position and on the financial side could be a little gold mine. Makes me wonder how costs are covered. A waste of a good...
