Was excited for this new coffee shop in the area. Unfortunately, disappointing though in several ways. -Food for members of the party did not arrive at the same time, one order was forgotten, another included wrong items. -Food was rather cold when it arrived. Eggs Benedict were eggs on uncooked cold ham and raw spinach with cold hollandaise sauce. Tasteless and had to force myself hard to finish it in order to not waste food at least. -Strong off-putting dog smell makes it hard to enjoy food. Too many dogs in there for the size of the place. Dogs seem agitated as barking and whimpering. Dog hair around and we saw an owner even allowing the dog to jump up onto the table with the paws. This was simply shocking and honestly a health hazard. -Tables and chairs are mismatched in height so it’s hard to eat comfortably. -Baristas don’t have enough time to adequately prepare drinks, eg froth milk. Flat white was a milky coffee. I really wish I had more positives to say. Staff was overall friendly and tried; but that can’t make up for sub-standards. It’s not a charity to donate, it’s a coffee shop - so should deliver to its customers. I would thus not recommend it, there are better places in the...
Read moreThis is great place to have a coffee and to get something to eat. I wouldn't say I've tried much of the food here, however the chocolate doughnuts they have are amazing and always keep me going back for more. (The picture below makes it look small, but it's a really good size. The large cappuccino next to it is in a very generous sized cup.) The coffee is really nice as well. I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means, but I just find it very well balanced and easy to drink and is a very pleasant change from Costa's. The shop itself is very nice as well. Lots of room indoors with a good amount of comfy chairs, as well as some outdoor seating when it's nice outside. Wifi is also available for free and the shop is also dog friendly. Overall just a great place to get a drink and something to eat. It can get busy here sometimes, but if the weathers nice, you can always sit in the nice park...
Read moreWe stopped over at Esquire Coffee enroute to Birmingham for coffee and brunch and so glad we did. The moment we walked in, we absolutely loved it. It has a very cosy, homely vibe and the staff there make you feel at ease. You are not rushed into ordering straight away. We tried their sausage and bacon rolls, falafel sandwich etc and it was fresh and delicious. Followed it up with a selection of cakes and pastries with our coffee - loved the Eton Mess cake and their brownie. Me and my wife had latte and cappuccino, which was very good - strong and good portions size, just the way we like it; while the kids had the freshly made smoothies. The best part about smoothies was that they don't add any extra sugar or ice - perfect for kids. All in all a very good experience and a fresh change from the other big brand coffee chains who just don't care about their customers. We will definitely be...
