We'd brought our own lunch, but we thought we'd get some cakes afterwards at this cafe. We realised it would be unfair to eat our lunch (purchased elsewhere) on the outside dining tables, so we didn't do that, instead we sat right at the edge of this area on the side of the lake. We didn't want to sit further away so we could see our tandem bike we arrived on.
We were asked to move anyway, I said that we were intending to buy some cakes but the member of staff was not interested in hearing that and walked away as I said it. We walked across the bridge (south-east) and ate our lunch there, a whole 50ft from where we were sat.

Read moreFound this absolute gem after a beautiful forest lakeside walk. So much care and attention to the property with new furniture inside and out. Food was delicious and fresh, I opted for an egg and bacon roll which came in the most wonderfully textured bread and a cherry tray bake cake slice. Menu isn't extensive but had most tastes covered. Coffee was very high standard. We gave a lengthy order which was delivered to our outside table in a very timely manner. If the owners are the same people that own the car park the male is incredibly rude and patronising, shouting across the car park to move on despite paying for parking and the carpark not closing till 5.30. this was at 5.05pm.
