Such a let down after having high expectations. Called up on the day and booked a table for 3 people at 2.15pm (food served 12-4). Arrived, asked for our table, taken to our seats, given a menu and fresh cutlery, advised us of soup of the day and what wasn't available and left us to decide what we wanted. My husband went up to the bar, bought some drinks which they said they'd put on the tab, came back with drinks then went up to order our meals. He came back and said you won't believe it but they've said they stop serving food at 2pm! It was by this point around 2.30... food still coming out of the kitchen, waitress alongside us sorting condiments for table next to us. I went up to seek clarification as I'd called to book and asked for table on way in... the server behind the bar couldn't even be bothered to turn around and speak to me so I was left to talk to her back! She just said sorry we stop serving at 2... so why let me book a table for 2.15pm, take me to my table, lay it, give us a menu, let us buy drinks without telling us there isn't any food to order! Couldn't even take responsibility and had the nerve to actually charge us for our drinks! It's a good job we had only travelled 5 miles or so to get there! Shocking customer service... no matter how good your food is... how you treat your customers is what matters! First...

Upon being guided to our table it was evident this pub had a conscientious owner/manager, it was presented in an extremely immaculately clean & tidy manner with an excellent cosy beautiful calming decor. We were served by some wonderful cheerful staff, nothing was too much bother, even a bowl of water was brought to the dog our friends had with them. About half an hour wait for the food and again, nothing but praise, it was fabulous....scampi fried in tempura batter and the nicest whitest chunkiest scampi I've ever had, the chips were soft and squidgey, like they were caramelised, just perfect and our friends had the barbecue grill flavour burger and they too were extremely pleased with their choice. We will return and definitely recommend this fabulous place. Thank you to the Farmers Arms for an enjoyable...

22/10/29. An easy pub to drive by in a lovely setting. We happened upon it with our dogs, and enquired about eating and drinking. We could have easily gone by, but thankfully, we went in, and were welcomed like long lost friends. All the appropriate precautions for safe dinning were inplace, and our hostess could not have made us more welcome. Four adults and two dogs all left as happy bunnies. We will be back, and I recommend this for anyone looking for safe, friendly happy eating. 20/04/2022. Returned, and chose from a new menu. We were treated like royalty again. The food was fabulous and the wife loved Lewis who tended to all our needs. We chatted about football and curlywurly cheesecake and look forward to coming back for more of the...

Oh my lord , this is by a long way the best pub and pub restaurant in Catterick. My second visit now , and after a 7 hour drive up from the Isle of Wight to visit family, Oh this is like heaven. Lovely atmosphere, such friendly staff , and a menu of food to die for , boy oh boy the food not only looks superb, it tastes totally amazing. 10/10 on every meal so far. I can not thank the staff and chief enough for the food cooked , prepared and our visit. Definitely see you in June when we come again.

Really lovely cosy pub with a roaring fire, we were shown our table and ordered food promptly. I went for the squid, and my partner took the black pudding bonbons to start with, both dishes full of flavour and life. We both went for parmos for our mains. I took the hoot shot, and he took the hunters. Again, both fantastic. Unfortunately, after our mains, we didn't have any space for dessert. Our server was also fabulous and professional but had good crack about her.

What a wonderful pub. We camped at Ellerton Park this weekend and walked into Scorton for a couple of drinks. The exemplary young barman was very friendly, attentive and welcoming; no sooner had we ordered, a water bowl and treat arrived at the table for the dog, and we were also suitably refreshed. Pleasant to see Murphy’s on draught. We didn’t eat (other than the smashing warm pork scratchings), but everything served on the tables within eyeshot looked terrific.
