Floaters Mill — Restaurant in England

I have never left a bad review However, we visited with three children for their tea. Arriving at 5pm, we ordered straight away. We were not advised of any delay. 40 minutes later there was no sign of food. We enquired at the bar & told it would be another 15 minutes. It was made clear that if we needed to wait longer than 15 minutes,we would get a refund so we could take the children for the local chip shop to eat. 15 minutes later there was no sign of food. We qued at the bar to ask for our refund. The bar staff went into the back to get an older lady. She came out and while my partner was talking to her and asking for a refund, she walked away. I approched her and told her we were not made aware there was a delay & we wanted a refund. She appologised but refused to give us a refund on the basis that the kitchen notified the bar staff of a delay. I explained that we were not made aware of any delay and we would not have ordered if we had been told. The older lady then told us the food was ready and waiting for someone to get it. I asked if she would get it for us so the children could eat. She stuttered then i asked her again if she would go and get the dinners if they were ready. She told us she couldn't because she was working in the kitchen?!? 2 of the childrens dinners arrived with no beans. The third meal arrived with chips rather than waffles. By this time the children were starving so they just ate whatever was put in...

I was there yesterday with my best mate and his neighbour and we decided to give it a try as i had never been before plus i was buying the meals for my mates 50th Birthday treat. On Arrival we were told that we couldnt order food until 3pm as they had a couple of parties in but seeing as it was gorgeous outside we didnt mind the wait. I went to ask if there was a chance of a dish of water for the dog which the Landlord arranged for me and seeing i had a walking stick said he would bring it out to me. The landlord and staff were very friendly and made everyone feel so welcome. When we eventually ordered the meals, i orderd the Chicken Jalfreizi Pie, my best mate had the Scampi and the neighbour decided on a bowl of Sweet Potato fries. All the meals looked beautifull and tasted amazing. Its a place i would definately go back to more often and would try and get a lot of people to try the Jalreizi Pie. The pie crust was actually made using Naan bread and was so tasty. I wish the Landlord and his Wife and all their Staff lots of luck not that they need it.

Thee pub was nice but the bar man has issues. I called in because my battery was flat and needed recovery after a vehicle accident and he preceeded to swear at me. Told me f off twice called me the c word every time he walked past. Made everything awkward told me I couldn't have a stool to sit even though I was wet cold and injured then told me to f off if I didn't buy a drink. It was a partial apology from the land lord phoned up the the manager told me to go down to complaine but I'm put off by there violent attitude but I will. Go down to see them face to face if that's what they want but i wont be alone . And my dogss will need a drink of water I was getting my bike ready for recovery about his staffs attitude but its still not acceptable andd alot of the punters look very 🔞 underage. I will be calling in ther for glasses of water as itys against human rights to refuse water and they have to give tap water free wouldn't recommend sticky...
