Gardener's Retreat — Restaurant in England

Why. Just why. All ways come in for our sandwich and chips at £6.99. It's not a bad price. And all ways good. Have never been charged extra for a toasted one. But now it's a £1 extra for it to be toasted. That then makes it expensive. So only ordered one as my son was very hungry. So won't be coming back. I don't understand that the way the UK is at the moment (struggling) Business can't just do something nice. The machine is on. It costs nothing to toast a sandwich. The machine takes two sandwiches minimum. So to charge extra £2 for the two sandwiches...

We arrived at 14.35 to have a spot of lunch to be told they had stopped serving , although cut off for ordering was 15.00 this is the third time in as many months not...

The food here is absolutely spectacular. Better than 90% of pubs I've been to. Couldn't recommend it enough....
