Gardener's Retreat — Restaurant in England

Really poor service, took 45 mins for food to come out (a panini and chips) and after chasing order was told they "had a chef walk out" which is why the roast wasn't available to order at 2pm when it's meant to be on to 2.30pm, people then coming some time after us were getting their food before us. Problems arise but it's how you deal with them. Our friends who joined us then having to wait 35 mins for x2 coffees, having to ask for a glass with ice three times, had 3 incorrect orders brought over to us even though the tables are numbered, most tables were full of rubbish and empty plates and needed clearing... I could go on.

Only ever really leave good reviews on google but...

Well TBH I don't think Gordon Ramsey's got anything to panic about but having said that it's good wholesome Sunday carvery food that is served which is tasty and with good sized portions . The staff are all very pleasant and efficient. We have been the last two weeks ( and probably again this week ! ) as we are having work done at home and a Sunday lunch for two with soft drinks and almost fast food service for under £25 .............what's not to like .........see you...

Called in for lunch was busy but there was still a few tables , staff fab cleaning up and bringing trays to the table. Nice touch you can leave a card on a empty table to save the table while u go and get food Plenty food choices and good prices I had a two meat roast for 9.99 couldn't fault it huge amount of meat , choices of beef , pork , gammon , turkey , lots of choice of veg with good sevings, comes with a Yorke and stuffing or an extra £1 pigs in...
