I went there with my family yesterday and I have to say If you’re looking for a place that perfectly blends authentic flavours with accessibility, convenience, and warmth, Goa Spice is the spot you absolutely need to try. From the moment you step in you can tell that this isn’t just another Indian takeaway — it’s a culinary experience that celebrates the heart and soul of Bengali cuisine. What stands out immediately is how easy and accessible everything is. The menu is beautifully laid out, offering a wide range of dishes that cater to every palate — from mild and comforting curries to the bold, fiery favorites Goa is known for. Whether you’re dining in, grabbing a takeaway, or ordering from home, the entire process is smooth, quick, and incredibly user-friendly. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, always ready to help you pick the right spice level or suggest the perfect pairing. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show — their Chicken Vindaloo. This dish is nothing short of spectacular. The chicken is tender and juicy, cooked to perfection in a rich, spicy, tangy gravy that captures the essence of traditional cooking. The balance of flavors — the heat from the chilies, the slight vinegar tang, and the blend of aromatic spices — is masterfully done. It’s the kind of dish that warms you from the inside out and keeps you coming back for more. It’s bold, authentic, and absolutely addictive. Another thing I love about Goa Spice is how they make their food so approachable. Even if you’re new to their cuisine, you’ll find it easy to explore. Their portion sizes are generous, the prices are fair, and the food travels well — perfect for a quick lunch, a family dinner, or even a cozy night in. Every bite at Goa Spice feels like a trip to the sunny beaches and vibrant markets of Goa. The freshness of the ingredients, the careful balance of spices, and the consistency in quality really set them apart. You can tell that the chefs cook with passion and authenticity — every dish feels homemade yet restaurant-quality at the same time. Overall, Goa Spice is an absolute gem. Whether you’re a spice lover chasing the perfect vindaloo or someone just looking for flavorful, easy-to-enjoy food, this place delivers on every level. Highly recommend it for anyone who appreciates real flavours served with heart and...
Read moreAvoid like your life depends on it-if you are vegetarian or allergic to shellfish it probably will. Last night we were visiting milnthrope and ordered 3 chicken curries and 2 vegetarian curries one with paneer the other one a vegetable curry. I was told the veggie curry was extremely spicy so I tried it and it was actually a prawn curry. Luckily there was no one at our table with a shellfish allergy however there were 2 vegetarians who were extremely upset. What makes this story worse is when confronted face to face Goa Spice admitted that they knew they had sent a prawn curry out and their solution was free curry next time. Allegedly they didn't have a chef yesterday so why they were open I don't know. The paneer curry had no paneer in it. Disgusting behaviour by a local restaurant. We won't be going back and I advise you...
Read moreI had some food from here tonight, and honestly I couldn’t be more disappointed, the food isn’t anything like a traditional curry. Honestly after a few mouthfuls I already feel like being sick. My partner also found several bugs in her food (flies). I have also seen other reviews about people getting food poisoning from here and finding insects in there food I would suggest if you don’t want either of these stay away! I never leave reviews but it’s the only way I could think of warning people about this place!!!!! Please for your own sake...
