Our first time at this Curry house but were certainly no strangers to a Curry, so last wednesday we fancied somewhere different, rang up and booked a table for 2. Lovely location with good parking. Very friendly staff all speaking good english, we had a real fire next to us they put on which was a lovely touch. Popodums we quick coming out as was the Kingfisher pints. What was a really nice touch too was our server asked if we would need anymore sauces etc for the pops, i jumped on this and asked for more onions as they always go quick, and within 30 secs we have a double the size dish of those.... big thumbs up on that. I did feel they needed a hotter sauce like a Lime Pickle with the pops as its nice to prep for your main with that. Anyways starter we chose the sharings Sheek Kebak, I love a good Kebak and its was stunning, big, tasty and more than enough for 2 to share with 2 kebabs, 2 Tikka chicken pieces and 2 lamb pieces. Then the Main, i went for the SHASLIK BHUNA CHICKEN with Egg Fried rice and a Garlic and Coriander Nan, It comes on a sizzling platter which i always like to see, And it was nice, but as the star of the show i just kinda felt it was lacking in a little depth of flavour, dont get me wrong the chicken was lovely, beutifully cooked and plenty of it, i just felt it was lacking something... a good tasty curry makes you want to dig in for the next mouthful until its gone and this just didnt quite hit that spot. My missus had the JAIPUR CHICKEN with boiled rice, she asked for it Hot, and again, it just seemed a little lacking in depth of flavour. Great meat, awesome portion sizes but the main dishes just didnt quite hit the spot which was a real shame. I dont know if both mine and her taste buds were having a wobbler that night or what but it just all felt a bit flat on taste. It was a real shame as everything else was perfect, and we will go back, we just...
Read moreWent to golden moments as for a takeaway, we ordered the food and found the website very easy to use. When we picked it up the worker there was very stuck up and rude, we were welcomed in or greated, we proceeded to pay and no manners were used. We got home and started eating the food which had next to no flavour, the curry was watery overcooked chicken and tasteless.
I decided to message them as I was highly disappointed with the service and food I was delivered and got a reply stating “ You said the guy running the restaurant was obnoxious and you received bad service which i cannot believe for one second as we thrive on customer service and we are renowned for the best service around. could you please give a little more detail as you wouldn’t have been there for long collecting your takeaway and you definitely wouldn’t have had much interaction except for making a card payment so how would you have bad service???” Witch I thought was very...
Read moreFirst time visiting this contemporary Indian restaurant, and it more than lived up to our expectations. The stylish decor and super smart table setting were great and completely matched by the service we received throughout the night. Pickles, poppadoms and drinks sorted we were allowed to view the menus at our leasure. Mains sorted it wasn't long before they arrived and the serious business of eating began.
Everyone cleared their plates of the Biriarni's, Bhuna's and Korma's they had, my lamb Madras wasn't as hot as I like it but it was so absolutely packed with flavour I wasn'tgoing to complain. My Keema nan was equally good coupled with superbly cooked Pilau rice it was a kracking meal all round.
Great surroundings, great food, great value and really great service, we will definitely be back. 5 stars...
