I was returning back from a long day in London and I felt tired and grumpy and decided to call into Greggs reading west services for a pick me up. There were a few people in the queue and the member of staying going through their every need but the difference was is that Sam (staff member) was so up beat and joyful and singing and basically having a good time that everyone including myself became happy was were drunk on his vibe. I don't normally write reviews but I felt compelled as Sam was just brilliant and took customer services to another level and I have to be honest I felt my mood lift and I couldn't stop smiling and be happy. Even the people in front turned around and said that "Wow what a happy bloke" Greggs always give good service but if they are looking for a customer service manager then I have to say, SAM IS YOUR MAN! Eventually a staff member came from the back (18:55) and began to play with the oven, ignoring us. He was then asked by a gentleman if he could have a hot sausage roll, but the staff member said 'no'. When asked if he could warm up a cold one, he responded with 'no'. There was nothing left in the shop, so the gentleman left the shop. When I was finally served I asked for a hot pastry and the staff member said 'we haven't got anything hot'. He was very unpleasant to speak to and did not communicate well. A huge disappointment. To top it off, my wife's sandwich said it was made the same day but was very obviously...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToo the store manager and regional manager ⦠please sort the team shortages out or rota better as I come here regularly and the queues early / mid morning are awful and clearly you either need to recruit more times for your busy periods or rota better your teams ⦠having to wait 20 mins to get a latte and a sausage roll is ridiculous⦠the team in this store are very good but there not super human ⦠hire more or rota better š. Iām in the service pub industry ⦠you should be able to serve guests when you have them at times when you know that youāll be busy !!! Iāve seen loads of customers go into service station or the more expensive Cornish pastry co stand ⦠they must be rubbing there...
