This my local so I'm biased but this is what a village pub should be. We used to have 4 but this is now the sole survivor and it's at the heart of the community. Everyone knows everyone and, go down for a quick drink, and you are guaranteed a chat and an escape from the tv and the 4 walls. Karen the landlady is the best. It can be lively and boisterous but the locals are very welcoming. There's often live music on a weekend and a pub menu at lunch - basic choices but done very well and very good value.
