Where do you start. The service and facilities were very poor, we will not be going back. Found a table and ordered food and drinks, while waiting for our food two other tables around us asked the waitress how long before they got their dinners, both tables had had starters but waited over 30 minutes for mains, all this time we were still waiting for ours so we asked the waitress where ours was as we had arrived earlier than one of these tables, she went and checked and then told us 5 minutes by the time we got it we'd waited over 45 minutes. While in the pub I went to use the toilet and neither of the men's toilets available had seats on them and were disgusting. The barman did unlock the disabled for use. My burger had been over cooked and was rock hard so I had to leave it. The 'Manager' came over to speak to us and gave the following answers. With regards to toilets seats its policy to not replace the seats as they keep being torn out. The wait for our food her words " I believe you were told at the till there would be a wait" I said no I wasn't, her response " I believe you was" if this was the case why would I and 2 other tables ask/complain about the wait? I asked her why you serve your burgers on paper which then tears when cutting your food and presents a danger of being eaten by a customer, her response was that "that is the presentation ordered by head office and to be honest common sense would tell you to remove the paper before eating" I told her my burger had been rock hard and she said I can only apologise for that and if you want I'll refund it. I then asked would it not be possible to provide something to hold the corn on the cob with and her final response was "this is a budget restaurant, what do you expect?" . Came in today for a meal and to have some family time, however we had the worse experience ever. We did order meals and were waiting. 1 hour and 5 minutes passed since we were waiting and my husband went there to find out how much longer we should wait. Someone went to check, but meanwhile we saw that others who came 20 and even 40 minutes after us was served already. When we pointed to this we been asked to wait for few more minutes. Our daughter even started to cry as she was patiently waiting for whole this time. This was our 3rd time attending this pub and have been disappointed before but this time was.the worse. We get frustrated and asked for refund as it was waste of time and we probably would need to wait other 20 min until our order will be served. They did, of course apologies but it didn’t change anything. Our rest of the day was ruined. Free desserts been offered if we will come back an other time but it won’t be even close to compensate this experience as we don’t eat desserts in general. After all we just wasted our time and we just left hungry, frustrated and very disappointed. No one even didn’t explain why did this happen. Not willing to...

Came this evening and I have to say what a disappointment so much so I won't be back. The menu choices are great but clearly there was issues with the chef so much so there were a lot of disappointed people not just our table.

Food over cooked and Craig handled it well but was clearly embarrassed.

Everyone moans that people no longer go out as much and eat out it isn't the cost it is the inconsistency of not knowing you are going to get a good meal.

We only eat most of it as was so hungry after quite a long wait and not wanting to cook after being at work.

We were refunded for the meal and I can't fault front of house but if the chef didn't want to be there then just close the kitchen you get more of a bad reputation by sending out poor food.

The refund was appreciated but that isn't what we wanted we came for a good meal and ended up leaving hungry with a bad taste and now a restaurant we won't be coming back to.

I have never left anyone a poor review but in this case this needs taking on board and improvements made.

Let us know when you have a different chef with a better attitude and we might consider giving you the benefit of...

Three of us went for lunch on Sunday and I was really disappointed. It was really noisy with the lunch time beer drinkers, which can't be helped. We found a table and ordered on line. I ordered the Sunday roast which I have to say was awful. Three slices of beef which were really thick and hard to cut, it was a bit chewy, and there was a lot of gristle which also made it hard to cut through. I only ate one slice. The mashed potato was a yellowy colour and had a crust on the outside, so I think had been left and reheated in the oven when needed, the Yorkshire pudding was crispy at the top and soggy inside and roast potatoes looked nice but were soft. The good part was the veg, carrots and green beans. The gravy came in a gravy boat, which was nice, but had a bit of a skin on top and was really thick, hard to pour and luke warm. The whole meal was only just warm and I left most of it for all of those reasons. The two other meals from the menu were good and had no complaints. I didn't complain because it was a meal for my birthday and I wasn't paying, but it was far from satisfactory.

Came back looking doubtful saying we could take it but would have to be gone by 530!!! Didnt show us to the table just left us standing there. Asked for a NZ sauvignon blanc and was told they don't have any. Menu says different. Asked for a prosecco instead but he couldn't understand the till so plumped for option 3. Lack of staff meant they tried serving regulars before me until I spoke up. Total lack of customer service here. Tiny amount of bacon in burgers. Asked for a chicken burger and they brought beef! Very slow service at bar. Never coming back. Will go back to Lincoln branch where they know about customer service.

Amazing customer service from Suprya, she was fantastic! We had an issue with our meals as some food we ordered which they were out of stock on and a burger came out uncooked. She did her best to try and rectify this issue for us but unfortunately the kitchen was closed. We ordered our food at 20:45 (kitchen closed at 21:00) so we could not get replacement meals. However she did offer us a full refund and free drinks and her amazing hospitality made it so we did not even feel mad. Despite being hungry looking forward to what usually is a lovely meal but yet this lady made the bad experience to a good one! She made me and my partner feel heard and respected. 😊 Lovely staff member
