Had a gluten free toastie here once and was decent so decided to choose to stop on our late summer bike ride for another. Wow. Beyond shocking. I once went on holiday for three weeks and when I got home my kitchen sponge had more moisture than this toastie. About as much love involved in making this as a casual Thursday night in Bangkok. Where's the cheese? Where's the effort. £8 for this meal deal from the front lines of WW2? Avoid at all costs.

I had an absolutely delightful experience at Walton Hall Café! The food was fantastic, and the service went above and beyond my expectations. What truly impressed me was the personal touch—the staff remembered my name on just my second visit after some time, which made me feel genuinely valued. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for enjoying a meal or a coffee. I highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting the area. Five stars!

We enjoyed our afternoon tea at the Heritage Café. The food was great (a choice of hot and cold sandwiches, a massive scone each and a selection of cakes) and we made the most of the unlimited hot drinks on a very cold day! The staff was very friendly and took good care of us. Would love to come back!

Lovely food - great tea - friendly staff going the extra mile. A great crew - the baguette was filled and - amazingly - was heated in a real oven for a superb, crispy 'experience'! (Not flaccidised in a microwave - for which compliments to the chef were in order). It was a far superior filled baguette than those found in other establishments beginning with 'Mac'! Which we consumed on our way up to Lymm from London. I complimented the young woman who looked after us - but her name escapes me - she even gave me 'blue' milk for a decent cuppa! Thank you - Young Woman! You know who you are - tell your manager that you deserve a pay rise and promotion. Amazingly I've remembered her name now - for it 'twas the delightful Charlotte. Thank...

Was over charged 8.00.They were so honest about that gave me it back when food was ready.very greatful for that. Thought 4.50 was a bit expensive for a cheese and onion toasti.came with no onion in. very and I mean very thin bread hardly any cheese inside.no taste at all.Daughter wouldn't let me complain.ordered 2 of the toasties both no onion . 9.00 for 2 toasties far too expensive for what you get .staff really lovely though .also no toilets in cafe which I found strange. Thought if you provided food you had to have a toilet.icould be wrong on that...

I’m sad to be giving such a low score, but I felt I had no other choice.

I am unable to eat cheese - yet pretty much EVERYTHING had cheese on it. Bacon and cheese, sausage and cheese.. it left me and my children unable to eat anything. There was vegan sausages without cheese, but we aren’t vegan. They don’t accommodate for anyone but cheese lovers. Because of this I’ve had for score it a one star.

It’s a beautiful location, lovely in the summer, and there’s a big drinks section. Just the food let’s it...
