Istanbul BBQ House — Restaurant in England

This is our go-to-takeaway when we want a treat without feeling like we are eating junk. Great bbq flavours, although I cannot speak for the authenticity as I have never been to the middle east, the flavours are fresh and aromatic. Portions are generous and well priced as we usually order the set meals which come with your choice of protein, rice, salad and grilled veg. The wraps tend to be a little on the saucy side and the salad is cut rather thick but they are still enjoyable. The burgers are average. I wouldn't usually order them but I have in the past to try. I was disappointed to find that the chicken burger was a store bought, reshaped, dry piece of battered chicken. With all the fresh flavours in the other dishes this really doesn't suit the restaurants style. I ordered it hoping to get a fresh breast fillet with seasoned and grilled over hot coals like the rest of the dishes. In all, great Turkish bbq, generous portion sizes, fair prices, poor attempt at catering to the stereotypical ''English pallet'', friendly staff and as of when I am writing this, if you order from their site you get 10% off. We continually return to...

Enjoyed coming here as the food quality is usually great, ordered from here recently and had a sub-par experience to say the least. The only reason i ordered it for delivery (as i would usually collect ) is cause i was balls deep in series 3 of Luther, and could't bare to leave the property. They got the address wrong 3 times after i clearly stated the address to them multiple times. My order was 45 minutes late. My combination kebab was just chicken, had no lamb shish, again i confirmed this over the phone 4 TIMES with them to ensure my order was correct. Still turned up wrong. Had to call back and get it changed. got nothing but an apology, no waver of price, no extras, just a sorry..and then still took 30 minutes to re deliver. The most appalling service i have experienced since the Mcdonalds i attended in Doncaster town centre. Just to top it off...the Portion sizes have dramatically decreased to what can only be compared to that of a squirrels nutsack.

Had a takeaway delivered last night , 25th Nov 2023, came within 30-40 mins , we ordered lamb and chicken shish with chips and a child's lamb shish with rice , the lamb and chicken shish was nice , maybe the meat on both kebabs was slightly overdone but it wasn't dry , it came with a lovely fresh salad and bread , the bread was tepid and would've been better with a little oil , sesame seeds or seasoning on it , the chips were lovely and crisp , the only real letdown was the rice , it was just plain boiled rice , it could've been so much more flavoursome if cooked with chicken stock and maybe a little onion and Veggies and made to be more of a savoury rice , all in all though it was a lovely meal and I would order again , but if they tweaked the bread and rice it could be lifted to spectacular. , it really is the little...
