Java Cafe — Restaurant in England

Avoid this place if you dont want to get food poisoning. Yesterday we bought couple of cakes for £18 which looked moldy, disgusting, hard as stone and would not even give them to pigs. We went back to ask for refund NOT because "we did not like them " ( this was the reaction of the owner) but they were disgusting. They were so disgusting that we didnt even taste them! They even admitted one of them were over 4 days!!!. In proper places 1. You sell fresh food, 2. If you know they are over 4 days you dont sell them, especially to returning customers. 3. You dont argue but refund as there was clearly issue with them... Instead of cocky, arrogant response: " We can not refund you, just because you didnt like them...", I recommend to take some customer service and some basic food...

Not impressed. The waitress was friendly, but the owner’s attitude was disappointing. I ordered a double decaffeinated coffee, but instead was served two double espressos. If there’s any doubt, it’s better to clarify the order rather than bring the wrong drinks and charge the customer twice. When I mentioned the mistake, the owner asked where I was from, and after I replied “France”, she dismissively said “each country has its own habits” – as if speaking to a child. I’ve probably travelled to more countries than she ever has, and this was the first time in a week in England that my order was misunderstood. Eventually I was refunded, but only in pounds cash, as she refused to refund to...

So ordered a full breakfast with added fried bread. I ordered at the counter with a young lady. She took my order and I paid. The price is good, I think I paid around £10.50. Good value IF it was cooked well. I waited for around 10 mins, still no coffee, after my looking about the food came out. The food didn't look great to be honest, eggs broken, bacon over cooked, sausage over cooked, toast had little butter on. The mushrooms were ok, beans cold. Place was clean, just scruffy.
