Jemz Caribbean Cafe' — Restaurant in England

I had the beef patty, curry goat, ackee & salt fish stuffed fried dumpling & plantain.

Beef patty was plain, hardly any filling, probably why i couldn’t taste it, The crust was ok

My gosh the curry goat, as Jamaicans we know the importance of washing & preparing the meat to a high standard, Jemz does not understand this. The goat meat smell was fatty, gamey & pungent. Need to wash your meat properly & remove the fat correctly. The meat was tender but that is the only positive. The taste was fatty, salty with no familiar Jamaican flavours. I would describe it as salty brown water. The fact that you served it to me is offensive, i don't get how Jamaicans cannot prepare yard food correctly.

The fried dumpling was nice, however the ackee & salt fish was so bland, none of that familiar salty fish flavour, lacked seasoning, I was shocked at the lack of flavour tbh. Again the portion of the filling was so so small.

The plantain was ok, could’ve been more ripe.

Best part about this meal was the Tupperware it came in, i can give that to my mudda to put her good good...

They Gave me the wrong drink with my meal and when I rang up to let them know the inconvenience the woman’s attitude was actually disgusting. I don’t live in Bedford so I explained I don’t want to travel all the way back there 1) In traffic as it was rush hour and 2) just for a drink. It sounds small but it’s the principal and I was really looking forward to that drink too. When I rang the woman was quiet on the phone and then said I don’t know what you want me to do about it. So I asked if I can have the drink I wanted free next time for the inconvenience and she LAUGHED and said no because it costs more than the drink she gave me. The drink I did not ask for by the way… At least if you’re wrong be understanding and acknowledge you’re wrong. People make mistakes it’s fine. But she acted like one drink would put them out of business or into debt. Or could even say “you know what next time you come in I’ll sort you out, I’m so sorry about that” but no. Just pure bad...

As a curious person and love great taste good woman I decide to visit "Jemz" very spontaneously, while for reason God show me this place.

In first option I find myself very happy about atmosphere and music 🎶 there ! Something what my soul needed 😂👌💕

Those people are very friendly and they have a wall of achievements what shows that they work smart for what they have today and they succeed for sure .

So I do not only have occasion to try dilicious ,home prapare Caribbean food, but also as a vegetarian I made my self full 😂🤫🤭

Each bit of food was for me as a step to paradise 😍 I love food haha 😂 so it was double pleasure 😋

I ate rice with beans - mmmmm mniam !! 😍 I do not remember all names while I will attach photo . Even side salad 🥗 was very creamy and perfect for this dish .

On the end I blow my tongue 😂 with carrot 🥕 cake 🎂 and apart from very sweet top I do enjoy 🤠
