KasKane Cafe & Covells Bar — Restaurant in England

I Was recommended this place by a family member whilst myself, partner and 7month old baby girl were staying in Runswick Bay. I had a quick look online as tea time approached and it had really good reviews which made my mind up. Its 15min drive from runswick but very straight forward to get to. The establishment itself wasnt quite what we had pictured, it seems to be on site of a kind of holiday home/chalet/cabin community. Anyway we were greeted really warmly on entering and it was a nice warm atmosphere with polite smiling staff. Seating wasnt an issue as qe got there around 5 or 5.30 on a tuesday. There were however a few tables already reserved for other parties. They have multiple high seats too for babies and children, its also dog friendly i should mention. They have a good menu with starters, sharers, platters, hot or cold, snacks, sandwiches, small bites and larger meals too. The pricing is very reasonable aswell, we had 2 main meals with 2 desserts and 2 drinks which came to £26.00. The portions are generous without trying to mask over a lack of taste. Infact far from it, we went for chicken parmesans, one half and i had a full (hadnt eaten yet that day). I have to say it was delicous, and the chips were proper chips. Hubby and I love to go out for breakfast when on holiday in Redcar. We love Skinningrove for a few hours chill-out, so when I found this little gem online we just had to try it as I couldnt believe the very reasonable prices. Just £5.50 for the vegetarian breakfast. Brilliant! I always think if you come out of a place feeling that you had good food, good service, a good experience, good vibes and a good 'tummy' feeling AND having a definite decision to go back when next in the area, then its only fair to share this and leave a review to tell people. We are elderly and Im vegetarian and disabled, but had absolutely no problem at all even tho we didnt book and arrived at noon when they were beginning to get busy. Visited for a wake at first we were made very welcome spending our money at the bar that is until 4:45 hit! We were sitting catching up with family we don't often see when we were asked to move from where we were sitting I said oh oh should we move through there pointing to the bar area as we were in the conservatory to be told "No the tables are all booked you have to drink your drink and leave" absolutely charming! I know this is only a small place but some consideration might have been applied. It's a wake family, friends want to talk and reminisce without a stop watch on you!
