Kaspa's Swindon — Restaurant in England

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience honestly left me shocked and upset. My friend and I were just looking for a nice evening out, but what we got at Kaspa’s Swindon was complete disrespect and carelessness.

We both ordered two scoops of ice cream. Mine was chocolate hazelnut and chocolate, and my friend chose passionfruit and raspberry sorbet. The price should’ve been £4.45 each, but somehow, we were charged £11.80. We didn’t question it right away and didn’t ask for a receipt, trusting that things would be correct. That was our first mistake.

When we sat down, the table was dirty. We literally had to clean it ourselves with tissues. It felt like we weren’t even welcome.

Then came the order. My friend received the wrong ice cream instead of raspberry sorbet, he got some kind of chocolate flavor with the passionfruit sorbet. He didn’t notice at first and started eating it. But soon, he realized something was off the two flavors just didn’t go together at all. It tasted bitter and weird when combined. He couldn’t even finish it. The mistake wasn’t just in the order it completely ruined the enjoyment of his dessert.

When we flagged the issue to a waitress, she brushed it off and insisted we got what we ordered. No apology, no attempt to understand us. Just cold denial.

The worst part? The manager a woman at the counter never once came to us to talk, to apologize, or even acknowledge the issue. We were made to feel like we didn’t matter. Eventually, after pushing for answers, they admitted they had overcharged us and blaming it on a “new staff member.” That’s not an excuse. That’s poor training and even worse customer care.

Let me be clear they made three serious mistakes:

What’s even more disappointing is that we’ve been to Kaspa’s Derby before, and it was a completely different experience. The staff there are friendly, orders are accurate, and the place is clean and well managed. We expected Kaspa’s Swindon to be the same, but sadly, it was the complete opposite.

Kaspa’s Swindon is not just disorganized , it’s a place where customers are ignored and disrespected. I would never go back, and I truly hope no one else has to experience...

I recently visited Kaspa's and ordered the White Choco Indulgence dessert. According to the menu, all waffles are served with a choice of soft serve, whipped cream, custard, or pouring cream. When I asked if I could get a combination of soft serve, whipped cream, and pouring cream, I was told that I could only choose one. This was confusing and disappointing since the menu implies that multiple options are available. I've visited other Kaspa's locations in London and received all the options without any issue.

While the staff were friendly, they denied my request, which left me dissatisfied. I requested if I could at least get chocolate ice cream instead of soft serve, and thankfully, they accommodated that.

Additionally, the waffle itself was a letdown. Although the waffle base was freshly made, the white chocolate flakes and sauce were too thick and solid, making them difficult to stick to the strawberries or the waffle. They came off in chunks, which was not enjoyable. The strawberries, however, were fresh and added a nice touch.

Overall, this experience did not meet my expectations based on previous visits to other Kaspa's locations. I hope the management can address these issues to ensure a more consistent and satisfying experience...

Went there with a friend the setting was quite dark. For a dessert bar you think there be air con, however the place we was sitting and the whole bar was too warm and stuffy. On top of that we made to pay for our desserts to then be informed they didn't have said dessert which was inconvienant. Personally I feel that they should of checked before they sale something. Additionally I ordered a crepe that was berry choc, I was hoping it being chocolate there be the berries to cut the sweetness a little bit. I was very much looking forward to the idea of having a sharp yet sweet crepe. However what I got was a soggy crepe doused with a sickly sweet sauce and white chocolate sauce which was overly done. Additionally when asked about the berries and other few problems such as ordering a new dessert the gentleman was quite abrupt and rude. The only good part of that place is the lady server who was incredibly polite...
