I attended today with a friend and her daughter on arrival we saw the lady itching her nose while making coffee for a customer at this point I wish we had left, only two women working her today which included all duty’s of cleaning, clearing, washing, cooking and serving a full cafe. Very slow service but we noticed it was just two of them so excepted it, we ordered a kids meal which was £8.20 approx and it consisted of Aldi crisps Aldi raisins wafer ham in the sandwich a fruit shoot with cookie, I mean I have nothing against Aldi I shop there but when we go out for food and are paying this money we expect something a little better, the freak shake was really good. Me and my friend ordered jacket potato tuna mayo cheese and salad, coating approx £8 each, after twenty five mins One lady came over and apologised for the delay giving us both a slice of cake free which was a great suggest as we were starving she also informed us the microwave wasn’t cooking the potatoes very fast, we waited another twenty five minutes and she brought both jackets over and the presentation was beautiful, I cut into the jacket and took a mouthful and instantly splat this out, it was cold and wet (puddled with water) I returned to the till and said I’m sorry but I want a refund I asked if she had checked they were cooked and how she didn’t see steam coming from them confused me! she said well it’s the microwave it’s not cooking…so she knew these weren’t cooked and still served them to us. she refunded us our food no issue, my friend asked for a refund on the drinks as the whole experience was awful and I said we wouldn’t leave a bad review either, she said reluctantly refunded us the drinks we had drank and said we were lucky we were getting it back in cash as half was done on the bank card, she then told us we can write a bad review and she didn’t mind!!!’ never had I experienced such bad service from start to finish which is a real shame because when this cafe first opened and the short haired blonde lady was running things I highly recommended it but by the looks of things I think it’s been taken over by these two never again.

Read moreI recently visited Kava Cafe in Oakwood, and I have to say that it was a fantastic experience. The cafe has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly staff who made me feel right at home.
The coffee and food was absolutely delicious. I ordered a latte and a slice of their homemade cake, and both were prepared to perfection. The coffee was rich and creamy, and the cake was moist and flavorful. The menu offers a great selection of breakfast and lunch options, and I can't wait to go back and try more.
The decor of the cafe was also lovely, with a mix of modern and rustic elements that created a charming and comfortable space. It's a great spot to relax and catch up with friends or get some work done while enjoying a great cup of coffee.
Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming coffee spot in Oakwood. The delicious food and drinks, friendly staff, and charming decor make it a must-visit...
Read moreBit disappointing. Partner and a friend ordered food. 40mins later friend was told that the pork he ordered had ran out despite being told that it would be another ten mins before food would arrive. So he said to leave it and didn't want an alternative. No free drink to compensate this. My partner waited an hour for his egg Benedict to arrive. Even though we were told they were sorry for the wait I would have thought we would be offered a free drink but no, nothing. Very disappointing. I realise they were short staffed and manager rushed in the last 10mins before closing time...bit late to help out! It was the fact that we didn't get a free drink for waiting so long that is annoying. Won't be rushing back...
