I've thought long about leaving this review. I had to take time, to take in the bad experience I had here on the 13th October 2022. This was our first ever visit to this restaurant. My/our view is honest and true without malice...
My partner and I drove through the drive-in. We started by a poor welcome and he/she was very quiet. We struggled to understand what the person was saying on the speaker. Anyway we told him/her our order. 6 piece family feast with tango and 2 gravy side orders. Then the person on the speaker disappeared, we shouted "hello, hello". We assumed the order was taken and he/she had gone to prepare it, so we continued to the next window. When we arrived at the window no one was there. We waited another 5 minutes and I decided to start knocking on the window to get someone's attention. A lady came to the window and repeated our order back to us. She spoke very poor English and had a foreign accent which was very hard to understand. We just nodded and paid. Another 15 minutes passed before we got our order. We then went and parked in the customer car park (which is a little worse for wear) and open the bag. There was a bucket of chicken wings, 4 portions of chips and 2 Corn-on-the-cob. I did not order corn and I did not receive my gravy x2. So I got out of the car and went inside to the counter. A woman approached me and I explained to her I ordered a family feast with gravy and I received corn instead. She replied she had been on a break and didn't know what I ordered, so I gave her the receipt. She said again a couple more times she was on a break and did not know what I ordered. I asked her to look at my receipt. She went away with my order then came back with the same contents in the bag. I told her again I did not order corn, I ordered gravy. She started shouting and repeating what she already said 3 times previously. She continued to repeat the same excuse, I tried to talk but she just shouted over me. In the end I had to raise my voice and say all I wanted was the gravy, I did not want a shouting competition or argument. She then opened a drawer and handed me one gravy. I then said the family feast comes with 2 side orders and I asked for two gravy. And off she goes again shouting and telling me that she was on a break and did not know what I ordered. I grabbed the gravy and walked swiftly out the door. When I got to my car I sat down in silence thinking what the * just happened. Why was she so aggressive, argumentative and ready with excuses. My partner looked at me and asked if I was OK. She said I was looking 'spaced-out'. ,,,,,........,,,,, I am 53, I have travelled all around the UK, USA and Europe. I have visited hundreds of KFC restaurants in towns, cities, counties and countries around the world. And I must say I have never experienced customer service on this level ever before. I've been to some restaurants that are the pits, but this place is far lower than the pits. This restaurant is a disgrace, an embarrassment to the KFC franchise. And I hope the owner of this restaurant reads this review and sacks the staff there as they don't deserve a job.
The reason I gave 2 stars is because the food was actually OK, not the best but not the worst.
Would I visit this place again,,,,, no never,, I would not want to go through that experience again and they obviously do not appreciate customers spending...
Read moreWe drove 6 miles to this KFC because the last time we got one locally they had forgot to give us some of our food which we onlt found out when we got home. We all wanted the advertised Alabama Cheese Burger but when we got there they told us they never had any. 7.30 Friday night and sold out. We then spent £33 on a couple of chicken burgers and an £18 bucket meal. for the family. We got home to find out that out of 10 pieces of chicken in the meal 5 of them smallest wings ever and a drum stick. I called the store to told but a miserable manager that "you get what your given" He didn't want to help me at all and had a terrible attitude with me. Despite trying to reason with him about my disappointment with my £33 meal he really didn't give a dam. He said he could have given me even more wings if he wanted to. The managers attitude has made the whole experinces 10 times worse. For £33 we could have chosen many other take a ways and I really wish we had.If we had gone to one of the other fried chicken places where I live we could have got more and better food for at least £10 less. This is the last time I will ever waste my money...
Read moreBeen going there for some time and last night was the straw that broke the camels back. The drive thru is absurd at best. Its actually quicker to drive straight past and head to the next KFC in Uxbridge or Slough. When I finally got to the machine that you speak into, well after 5 mins of trying to place an order, I gave up, Zinger Tower seems alien to them and I gave up trying to explain. They simply could not understand me, I could not hear them (may as well had the window up) and for the second time in my life I became quite agitated. The only other time I have ever started to lose it was funny enough at the same KFC, around 10 days ago. I ended up saying "I will go to the window and order as this is not working". Upon arriving at the window they stood and smiled at me and said "Sorry we cannot serve you at the window". Its a thoroughly depressing thing to do to go to this KFC, they genuinely have absolutely no idea. I don't mind getting the wrong order which they always give me, its part of the drive thru experience but this is the one place where voice recognition machinery is a must as the humans there are...
