I had stayed at Penstowe many times growing up so decided to go back as an adult for a much needed holiday. My partner and I arrived at Penstowe Park on the Sunday night and were incredibly disappointed in our air b&b (private property so not linked to this) and decided to go to King Arthurs to get a drink and decide what we were going to do. I happened to ask Fliss if she knew of anywhere we could stay and her and Lee went above and beyond to rescue our holiday and find us some accommodation. We ended up staying all week and had the best time. They didn't need to help us, but they really went out of their way for us. We went in for dinner and entertainment every night and we honestly couldn't say a bad word about our experience. Lee and Fliss, and indeed all the staff, were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. They recognised us each night and really made us feel at home. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of entertainment, and think that there is something for everyone, regardless of age. Lee and Fliss really are a credit to the place and we will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for really making our holiday. We would hand on heart recommend to anyone....

The main bar has been fully refurbished to a really high standard, I can't wait to see the whole restoration complete and the kitchen up and running.
This is a family venue with a huge dance floor and stage the onsite entertainer Lee is brilliant, not only a great singer but the kids discos are splendid.
If the kids aren't a fan of dancing the night away bring along some 2ps theres a large and really well kitted out arcade.
The main bar is really well priced and the owners can be found working hands on with a brilliant team alongside them.

Read moreThe Grandchildren had a ball w/c 23rd July. They particularly loved the children’s arcade, bingo and entertainment. On the evenings we visited they had acrobats, singers and Lee Marshall with his higher or lower and the simple fun stuff like musical bumps and across the river for younger children. All good wholesome entertainment. Drinks and food reasonably priced and tasty. Looking forward to the growth King Arthur’s make whilst this venue is still in its infancy of having being taken over my new owners. Wishing them...
