Although (in my opinion) this place seems to of improved by standard of it's burger (maybe use a different butchers now to recent years?) It just still doesn't quite hit the mark with me. Just like it didn't 2 years ago when I last went. It ISN'T that the food isn't nice. It IS nice. Very nice. And there's lashings of delicious burger toppings AND it is always FRESHLY cooked. But that's where my issue lies. THE WAIT. I thought by now they would be upto speed with phone orders, but it seems they're not and still don't accept them, and they still have green/red 2 people at a time restrictions in place and this place can get quite busy, so the waiting time can be HUGE. The price is about going rate, not overly expensive, but again, when the time from joining the que to actually leaving the shop takes longer than cooking my own 3 course meal at home then it's just...

Nowadays, the portion sizes have decreased, ie, the garlic mayo used to come in a large tub and now comes in a tiny plastic container that is barely enough for your fries. I went a few months ago and after only travelling from Dalton to Barrow (only a 5 minute drive), the food was cold and fries soggy. I decided it was a bad day so tried again very recently and unfortunately experienced the same freezing cold burger and fries.
I feel like I can never full hate KW and will most likely visit again, even when the new owners come through to see if anything changes.

Very disappointed in the pizzas however, which is a shame as had high hopes after burger night. Just a bit bland and soggy with price comparable to Dominos. Would personally go to Asda and build your own 12" for 4 quid on a Saturday. Highly recommend burger...
