My husband collected the take away but on opening the containers I immediately saw that one of the orders was wrong. It was not butter chicken - it was a dark sauce and spicy. It was too late to take it back as my cousin had been visiting and was due to return to Kent straight after our meal so we made do. However, suddenly she pulled a shortish dark hair from her mouth that was in her chicken bhuna.
To say all that spoiled the meal is an understatement but it was made worse because I later used the online chat service to let the restaurant know and, although I could see that the messages had been read, there was no response. I asked for the email address so I could send pictures but still nothing. Then after waiting a few minutes, the chat had disappeared and I was only able to access Google maps when I clicked on it.
Poor food. Poor follow up service. Will avoid in future.
Further to the above, the owner apologised for the mixed up order which I appreciated. However, he did not accept the hair in the food aspect and after I declined his offer of 30% off the next meal we purchased, he said it was ignorant of me to leave the review after I âknewâ the whole situation! Chronologically it went like this -
It is my right to decline the offer, which the owner believes is âgenerousâ, because as he rightly said I had already decided not to go back.

Upon ordering I was told the order would take 1:10 to fulfil via text message. I realised my mistake 9 minutes later and called to cancel where I was given the obligatory hard sell of âoh itâll only be 30 minutesâ until they realised what I was saying and agreed to cancel it. At least thatâs what they said until they called back 10 minutes later again to say they wonât refund as itâs already been made?!?! So theyâve apparently made the entire ÂŁ50 order in 9 minutes? I ask for proof in a picture and they delay a further 10 minutes and then send an image or a few items from the order in a bag that were most likely another customers order that happened to match some line items. The order was 15% there at most in the picture, pretty much everything was missing and it was taken at a dodgy angle that showed only a box of Korma. Do not trust, go somewhere...
   Read moreI eat a lot of Indian food and know whatâs good and bad. This was bad. . This was my first visit since the new management in this restaurant . I was completely underwhelmed and left very disappointed. Itâs expensive compared to other curry houses. Sag paneer was diabolical - steamed spinach with some chunks of paneer thrown in . Very very green and looked appalling , tasted terrible. Chicken madras - far too much black pepper in it. Mushroom rice - bland . And the chicken tikka masala tasted like it had 5 spoons of sugar in it. Naan was the superb though. We are spoilt for choice for Indian food in Burnham . I will not be returning here. And as for the service charge they add on the bill , thatâs a Liberty and they need to remove this. Itâs not right in an Indian restaurant . I canât see this new management team lasting too long to be honest . The competition around them is head and shoulders above in terms of food/ service...
