I went through the drive through and was told to park up while they made my order. After 15 minutes of waiting without receiving my food I walked back in to see what had happened to my food. I was stood at the counter for a further 5 mins before anyone came to help me. During this time, I was acknowledged by several members of staff but it seemed that there was only one person on counter duty so the other members of staff were reluctant to speak to me. I was also at the front of the queue for the entire five mins so I have no idea what the member of staff who was on counter duty was doing. He was in the back somewhere and the other members of staff kept saying to him "you are needed at the till mate" but he just kept shuffling around folding a happy meal box up. When he finally came over and asked me to problem, I advised I had made an order via the drive through 20 mins ago and was told to park up and that I never received my order. He then asked what was missing and I had to re tell him that my entire order didn't arrive. He then had to re order it and make the entire order again as it seemed they had forgotten about it entirely. After a further five mins I received my order and got a half arsed "sorry pal" apology from counter man. Read moreAfter a return to Ripon McDonalds I find myself reducing the star rating to 1. The food (breakfast in this instance was fine) but the service was poor. Not a please, thank you, good morning or even a smile?! They weren't even that busy or at least appeared not. It takes nothing to be polite and courteous or even to smile even just a little but not one of the three servers could manage it? I used the drive through and along with 5 other cars had to park up to wait for my food albeit a short time. Food was delivered without serviettes and when asked if he had brought any I was ignored! I don't expect much from McDonalds, it is what it is, but some training by management on how to interact with your customers would go a long way in making sure you get returning clients. I will finish by saying that this is not the first time this has happened at the Ripon branch and I haven't found this to be such a problem at other McDonalds I have visited. I'm sure they won't...
Read moreOne thing to mention before I start is that there are always problems with this location, doesn't matter if you order at peak "busy" times or early/late, I have never had an order go right! (Though it doesn't need to be mentioned the prices are also sky high for the bottom-tier cold food that you receive).
Not only did the delivery driver NOT follow any of the instructions provided, but also delivered to the WRONG address. After finally figuring out where my £40 order (not including delivery fees) went, we also noticed that we were missing not one, but TWO of our items. Incredible work, have never witnessed a more catastrophic execution of reading words off of paper.
I would highly encourage members of management to enroll their staff in reading and writing courses to help with the flow of service as it is gravely needed (would also recommend a change of delivery services as it is not the first time this has happened). The food was also cold,...
