Honestly this McDs is ridiculous. Shame as it had so much potential, and some locals including me had been looking forward to it. So many staff, yet wait times are the same as going to an actual restaurant. There’s nothing ‘fast food’ about this store. Wherever you look there’s another customer with a problem with their food You get disturbed to be told the main seating area is closing at 8pm!?!? Disabled customers are regularly expected to leave their table mid-meal to move their cars so the delivery lorry can park over the designated disabled spaces. Lift constantly out of use (main seating area is upstairs) and customers requiring it just get forgotten about after asking for the key. Customer received bad attitude from a staff member when complaining about persistent issues.
I have given it two stars rather than one because many of the staff are lovely and pleasant and trying their best - I actually feel sorry for them being the face of this utter shambles. The building has great potential because upstairs is so quiet due to no kitchen noise and no order shouting - it’s ideal for people who wish to work while visiting, and great for those with sensory issues/social anxiety.
They can turn this around if they sort it out ASAP but they’ve already lost customers. I may try again in the future but under this management it’s doubtful they’ll make it to the other side of 2023’s...
Read moreYou’d think they were asleep in the back with how long it took to get your order - except they weren’t asleep, because they were prioritising the lazy arses who decide to get Uber eats at 10AM of a morning (Why even bother waking up in the morning at that point??)) and the Drive Thru people. Repeatedly asked them where our very simple order had seemingly disappeared off to; was told it’d be with us shortly - except we had to wait another ten minutes after that promise. The higher ups seem to spend more time berating their teenage employees rather than actually flipping the burgers and cooking the hash browns, and the only people who actually seem to get any work done are said teenage employees who are ‘doing nothing’ . Furthermore, the food came out like it had been sitting on a radiator with grease dripping out of it, and the hash browns may as well have been advertised as mashed potatoes. NEVER come here if you want to eat hot food. NEVER come here if you want to keep your sanity. DO come here if you like waiting for fast food for half an hour. You’re better off going to the KFC or Greggs across the road, because you might actually get something to eat...
Read moreI’ve been to this particular McDonald’s twice since it opened but I will not be going again. My food was virtually cold, just the slightest hint of warmth and highly likely wouldn’t have met the Food Standard Agency’s regulations. The first time I went I was interrupted whilst eating and asked to move my car out of the disabled parking area to make way for a delivery. I was absolutely astounded to be asked to move my car! Also, the lift for disabled customers wasn’t working and downstairs seating is very limited. It was freezing cold in there and other customers were complaining about the temperature. On my second visit, in addition to cold food, once again the disabled customer lift was still not working. This is absolutely ridiculous for a brand new restaurant!! I was left standing for ages with my crutches only to be told by a member of staff that it wasn’t working. I’d stood for ages trying to get someone’s attention and when I managed to speak to a member of staff he was extremely rude with attitude and said “I don’t know anything about it”, shrugged and walked away. That’s not how you treat customers! So, if you’re disabled, this is really not the...
