We arrived late in the evening as the team was closing up half of the restaurant for cleaning. There were still plenty of tables so no problem.
We ordered on the touch screen which was working and printed a receipt, something which we are not used too so 👍.
Our food was delayed with most of it being bagged up, then a member of the team taking it round the side? When I asked 'why' i received a mumbled response, so maybe the team member was new. One of the managers/supervisors smiled and said it won't be long. I belive they were making drinks, but it looked like it was going to the drive thru.
Food was warm, not hot. Main gripes were some of the fries had black ends which shouldn't have been served. Also, the McChicken sandwich appeared to have been thrown together as mayonnaise was all up the side, so sticky fingers for me. It was also very small, so maybe McDonald's has shrunk it to keep the price low?
I ordered a latte from the counter. Team member was polite and the latte came fairly quick. For the price paid and flavour it was excellent. Why bother paying Costalot prices if you can get a better and cheaper drink from McDonald's? Another 👍 from me.
We ordered a happy meal but the touch screen flagged there were no Minecraft toys left, so we ordered the book. A previous customer had received the toy. When I asked the team member if they had any, she checked and brought us one, without requiring the book back. We also ordered apple slices, but carrots arrived. These were promptly changed with no fuss. So thank you.
Finally we ordered a couple of fruit pies, of which this restaurant had the new flavour available. Again great compared to our local McDonald's.

Read moreHmm,so, this morning I was on an early shift so went on the app to order double bacon muffin meal ...for the second time in 3 weeks the app is showing it is not available...this happened 3 weekends before but that time didn't think anything of it and went to another McDonald's...my partner tried this week to order breakfast and he got same message (so not my phone or my app which is a new download due to a new phone ) today I decided to drive down and see if they were really out of muffins . Nope they were not ,I reported this to the Duty manager (Zoe?) And she was not at all interested and just kept saying it's fine it's fine don't worry it's probably the app ...as a retail store Manager I know how important the app is to businesses ,but she didn't care , I almost felt she knew (as got same reaction from girl on window 1,hence asking for the manager) ...made me wonder if they were purposefully putting things as unavailable so app customers don't get freebies because they are having to visit without ordering ...hmm🤔🤔🤔...if that was my store I would want it fixed right away to keep local and regular customers coming back , especially when breakfast is now over £6...oh well Greg's now has my custom much cheaper and just as...
Read moreThe one star is given completely honestly because of the fact the service was sooooooooo slow! 15 mins from ordering on computer inside, then it arrived 🥳 but the chips were cold and looked like they were the dreads of the fries the burger had no ketchup in it and the milkshake was like water, upon asking it to be changed the woman took 10mins to replace! By then old given up and chucked all in the bin, went home and had a cuppa which was way more pleasant ☀️ 🤩 I will say that the only person who seemed to have any ‘get up and go’ was the smily cleaner Karen!! She was everywhere pottering about, I watched her whilst waiting and attempting to eat my snack and she practically cleaned the whole place before I got my grub. The staff are extremely slow and there is definately no enthusiasm to please customers or Apologise for the unnecessary delay because of the ‘can’t be bothered attitude to work’ and that includes the useless manager who gutted when I asked to have my milkshake replaced.
