Had the worst experience of my life. These 2 very arrogant ladies, clearly not trained enough to McDonald’s customer service standards. They refused to take £10 sterling note. Which I changed to English note while telling them that you can not refused pound settling anyways. The girls with glasses on said we can even refused to serve you forget the notes. I found it very rude and told her excuse me you can not say that to me. She shut the window and another girl came outside to inform me that they have called police. I was shocked with my 3 kids in the car. I didn’t even raise my voice. People behind me started beeping, few people approached and requested them the staff to serve them their food at least so they can reverse back and go but guess what they closed the store. All the people in the queue behind me had to reverse back without food as they closed the store. There was no need to do that. That’s next level arrogance. I would make official complaint against these 2 ladies at the window including the manager.

Came through the drive thru today ( 21st July 2024 between 18.00 and 19.00 hours ) and ordered a McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse and a Mc Chicken sandwich meal. Apon picking the McCrispy box up the underside of the box felt soggy and we opened it to find we had been given a half eaten burger! Took it into the store to complain to a manager who took the buger and said nothing and then be questioned by whom I believe to have been the shift manager on if it had really come like that in a way that would suggest this couldn't have happened.. and something along the lines of she had packaged the orders. Next to no communication from staff on the matter, Zero apology and just thrown a new burger like they hadn't just given us half eaten food! Absolutely Disgusting health and safety and awful customer service! If Tun is still business manager at this store he needs to sort it out!

Normally this unit of McDonalds is alright as McDonalds units go and would usually have nothing to complain about. But it seems the last month the unit has drastically gone down hill. For about a month now the Drive Thru has been only accepting cash payments. The first time we came here and saw that we just drove back home and ordered online. Then a couple of weeks ago we came here and I saw the Drive Thru was still only accepting cash payments so I decided to go in the unit to order this time. I wish I hadn’t. Service was really slow. It took about 20 mins for me to get my order. And it didn’t look like it was the staff at issue. They still seemed to be doing a hard job. From what I could observe it seemed like the ovens may not be as efficient as they should be. From the look of it the staff were busy and running around still even though food was slow coming. And I get the feeling the staff were a little demoralised. Maybe because the food was coming slow and it was out of their control and they desperately wanted to please customers but they were getting constant complaints. Then I went today and this time I was ready for the Drive Thru and had some cash on me. Service still seemed to be slow though and staff although professional and polite seemed a bit harassed. It was obvious other customers were irate about the cash only thing. You only know it’s cash only when you get to the speaker which is way too late because if you haven’t got cash which is very possible in this day and age you will have to drive all the way round the drive thru like we did the 1st time and often have to wait for the people in front of you or try reversing back out which I saw some people try to do today but then if someone came in behind them they wouldn’t be able to and be trapped, even more irate and many people honking their horns in protest. There is no other notice telling people that the drive thru is cash only apart from at the speaker which as I said before is way too late. There is a screen at the beginning. I paid an extra £1.00 (x2 £0.50) for chocolate sauce, on my mc flurries they did not add them to any. When receiving my order, the staff member shut the window within seconds after handing me the order meaning i didnt have tome to inspect the order to rasie my complaint that it was wrong not to mention I didnt get a receipt either which every time this branch never gives me a receipt which is annoying. I had to then drive all the way around to the begining of the queue of the drive thru. When I got back to the speaker at the drive thru they said I didnt pay for extra sauces and asked for proof via a receipt, i said they didnt hand me a receipt and I had to pull up my online banking app on my phone to prove I paid for my order which is unprofessional. They then told me to drive and wait in the side bay of the drive though while they checked my claim regarding my order was correct which would have been easy if they handed me a receipt in the first place. This is the third time in a row an order has been incorrect and the branch never gives you a receipt at the drive through. Horrible service then saying I didnt order what i said I did until they checked on the system i did and they even still after all that only gave me a receipt because i asked for it as they staff member was walking away super quick before I could even finish my sentence.

I will try to aviod this branch in the future as this has happened multiple times where the order is incorrect and they don't give me a receipt meaning that I cant proove my case meaning holding up the line for others and the parts of my order that was correct getting cold which means none of my order was at an ideal temperature to eat and i might as well ask for the entire order to be made fresh...

Review: Missable Staff and Lack of Customer Service at McDonald's

My recent visit to McDonald's was unfortunately far from satisfactory, primarily due to the lack of customer service and the indifferent attitude of the staff. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the employees were disengaged and uninterested in providing a positive experience.

The staff seemed preoccupied, with little to no attention paid to customers. When I approached the counter to place my order, the cashier barely made eye contact and offered no greeting or smile. It felt as though I was inconveniencing them by being there. The lack of basic courtesy was disappointing, especially for a global brand like McDonald's that prides itself on customer satisfaction.

To make matters worse, my order was incorrect. When I politely pointed out the mistake, the staff member seemed annoyed and reluctantly corrected it without an apology. The overall atmosphere was one of indifference, as if the employees were simply going through the motions without any genuine care for the customers.

The dining area was also poorly maintained, with tables left uncleaned and trash bins overflowing. It was clear that the staff were not paying attention to the cleanliness of the restaurant, which further added to the negative experience.

In conclusion, this visit to McDonald's was a letdown due to the missable staff and lack of customer service. The employees' disinterest and lack of professionalism made the entire experience unpleasant. For a brand that relies heavily on customer loyalty, this level of service is unacceptable. I hope McDonald's takes steps to address these issues and ensures that their staff are better trained to provide the level of service...
