Went here a couple of weeks ago for evening meal,I should have said something at the time as it didn't taste to good, but i don't like complaining.Later that night I didn't feel to good and went to bed,I woke up the next day but couldn't face food for some reason,I went to garage to get petrol and soon after leaving the garage I had to pull over and threw up all over the place it was the contents of what I'd eaten at the Midway cafe the night before. It carried on for two days and nights with sickness and dihorea, infact it took a week and two days to get over it I was that ill.I don't like to run businesses down but I feel compelled to in this instance,I will never use this place ever again and I feel very angry that they served this rubbish to me in the first place they must have had it hanging around all day or it was off before they cooked it.You won't last long in business treating people like this, never had this happen when Phil had the place food quality was excellent. But yours is rubbish, avoid like the plague people.I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what I did,It made my Mrs sick too but no dihorea.Local council have been informed,I sincerely hope they...
Read moreThree years since I was last in The Midway and âŠoh dear. It used to be one of our favourite refreshment stops when on training drives but as soon as I walked in this morning I immediately knew it has changed and lost its flare for the traveller. The smell of stale frying oil was overwhelming, the âcouldnât care lessâ attitude of the young girls âservingâ left a lot to be desired then came my catastrophe ofâŠ.a bacon sandwich. One bite from the under done bacon encompassed in thick very poor quality white stodgy bread was enough. After paying ÂŁ6.15 for the sandwich and two teas I left feeling it had been a total waste of time and money. What used to be a very busy cafe was today sadly lacking in clientele which from the quality, price and general appearance of the place was perfectly understandable. The Midway Truck Stop needs to have a serious look at itself, have a make over and come into the modern day as itâs not changed since the 1950âs. We all know that costs have rocketed recently however if one is going to shell out for a basic snack then value for money should be givenâŠ.sorry guyâsâŠnot that youâll miss me but you wonât...
Read moreMidway truck stop is without doubt the best truck stop in the area. I have been stopping here on my runs for over eight years and I can honestly say that it is the best by far. The food is fantastic and arrives at the table in under five minutes, piping hot and cooked fresh. With a dedicated team of professionals at the helm the midway truck stop will grow from strength to strength. The owner was kind enough to allow me to take photos of the inside and the rest room area that has just been referbished to an excellent standard. There is also wheel chair access to both the cafe and the toilet which makes this truck stop stand out from the crowd. Very clean and well presented the midway truck stop offers ample parking and over night parking in the truck pound opposite at a cost of only £ 4. By far the cheapest in the UK with the added bonus of the new owners opening from 23.00 to 04:00 to meet the demand by night drivers in October 2018. Absolutely fantastic truck stop with tradional home cooked food served piping hot by a professional team of catering and hospitality staff. Keep up the great work guys, I...
