We visited the restaurant many times before and we always have received great service and excellent quality of food, but this time I’m frankly disappointed . A young lady took our drink and food order within a short time of our arrival , I asked a non- alcoholic cocktail with less ice , I’ve got my drink packed with ice , when I mentioned this to the server he took it away and brought back a HALF portion of drink , with no decoration (which is obviously not the end of the world but the way it has been presented , I wouldn’t dare to call this a cocktail to be fair ) and it seemed like it was a hassle for him to change the drink and bring another one. We received our starters which were nice , however took very long time to get the dirty plates removed. The main course was disappointing. Stake was OK , salad tasteless , the onion fritter ( which is one of our favourites) was so over fried , I wasn’t able even to eat it , as it was dry and hard . Same for my partner . Desserts were alright , but the lady who served the courses didn’t pay attention to bring new set of cutleries for the desserts, so we got them after she brought the desserts, and she literally checked two spoons with napkins in the middle of the table. I understand if she was in a rush ( even though the restaurant wasn’t busy ) but I believe it’s quite inappropriate. While we stayed , we had 3 different waiting staff at our table , none of them actually asked us how we found the experience/food or anything . It’s quite shocking . Only the young lady who took the order, come to our table at some point and asked if we would like to get a dessert or coffee , which we both ordered from her at the beginning… I would say , there is definitely plenty of room for improvement! I’m not exactly sure , if we would be...

We visited Friday 19.04.24 We regularly dine out but this was a gift from family as a wedding present. Very pleasant atmosphere to the place and we had a nice table with some space around it against a wall. However, I needed to brush crumbs off the bench seat before sitting down! Nice young woman introduced herself as our server and we were very quickly served with drinks. Having selected our choice from the menu we waited just a short time for our starter. We chose a sharing garlic and cheese bread which was actually served by a different person. The oblong plate was placed on the table and she left. We waited for a while to see if any side plates would appear but that didn't happen and so we proceeded to eat leaving an array of crumbs over the table. When our server reappeared we mentioned that there were no side plates to eat from but had it pointed out to us that she hadn't served us! Main course was good and we were then asked about desserts. Choosing not to have a desert we selected coffees which, according to the menu, should be served with a "buttery biscuit". No biscuit ever appeared, we drank our coffee and when our server reappeared and we told her about it she said....I can bring you one now! So they did have them, just hadn't served them. We paid our bill and left a tip in excess of 10% which with hindsight we shouldn't have done...but the payment was taken and our server disappeared, no thank you , no goodnight. A great shame but for us not a place we...

Went yesterday for lunch. Very disappointed, have been to many different miller and carters and this by far was the worst.

Considering it is a steak restaurant and we asked for two steaks well done (for children) and BOTH came out still pink, to the be told by management a load of excuses as to why the steaks were pink…. Steaks are timed, steaks are all different, steaks are not checked before leaving the kitchen, that’s not blood on the plate it’s the butter from on top on the steak…… we will put it back on the grill for you!! No offer of a fresh cooked steak. Mistakes happen but for both steaks to be pink and an offer of putting steaks back on a grill that have been contaminated with dirty cutlery! Poor!! Bad management, bad hygiene and poor customer service all to save a few ££s on cooking a customer fresh food for their mistake. You wouldn’t get that shoddy response from a small independent restaurant. Just shows the lack of care and attention, not to mention it’s not cheap so you expect it to be right. £120 for lunch and it’s wasn’t a pleasant experience.

Only positive was our waiter Sam was super lovely, polite and attentive. A credit to the restaurant. However the management and the people higher up have a lot to learn in customer service and should reconsider their policies when it comes to complaints in the restaurant when they don’t get it right first time.

Definitely won’t be returning to any miller and Carter restaurant if this is the new...

We visited the restaurant for my dad’s birthday and it was made to feel incredibly special from the moment we walked in. The table, surroundings and decor were clean and modern - fitting the luxurious ambiance of the establishment. Our server, Lillian, was friendly, welcoming and polite. She also accommodated all of our special requests such as; asking for elements of the dishes to be removed and serving us a side as a main - which made us feel very comfortable and catered for. To add, she made sure to visit our table regularly to check we were happy with our meals and that we had no concerns with the food. As a table, we enjoyed three mains, three desserts, two mock tails and a beer, all of which were cooked beautifully and served professionally. I give my highest compliments to the chefs working in the kitchen for such delectable meals - for a very picky eater, I found every element of my meal delightful. To finish our celebratory meal, my dad’s dessert was served with a ‘Happy Birthday’ message and candle which he was incredibly grateful for. I will definitely be visiting again and will be suggesting that other do too. I cannot thank the staff enough for such a wonderful evening.

I have to say my family and I enjoyed the food, but it was a poor experience. Please never believe the packages they promote, and holiday events. You will realise at the checkout that it is nothing like the description given by the waiter. When we chose the set menu, the waiter made it possible for us to add £16 for an extra choice of starter and dessert, and then every two people could share a large steak (upgrade), and without the original price of the set menu which is £36, when checking out you will find that you will be billed for a full set menu for each person (≈52pp) everyone will have to pay that price. But this is completely different from the description given by the waiter when ordering. The experience was with a woman who was very rude to my family and told us not to enter again, I don't think we will ever enter this restaurant again. The service was quarterly vicious. ps. most of the waiters were nice but none of them could explain the bill. The manager had a bad attitude.

Was looking forward to a delicious meal as it had been recommended as the place to go, well it might be but not for a repeat, we came home still hungry and over £40 each poorer for what my friend and I considered a very disappointing meal, we both ordered salmon, crushed potatoes, and tender stem broccoli in a sauce that killed the flavour of the over cooked salmon, blanched broccoli and crushed potatoes that my friend had to send back because hers were cold in the centre, mine were warm but tolerable and the desert was the biggest disappointment a very thin white chocolate shell and a scoop of mango sorbet in the middle sat in a sauce that killed the mango taste, but never mind we enjoyed the two glasses of wine, which would have been cheaper at a supermarket. Disappointing is an understatement
