You are gonna love this place. This is the perfect Cafe (as far as I’m concerned). Over the years I’ve visited, tried and tested hundreds of Cafe’s in search of the perfect Breakfast and in most cases they come up short, but in this instance, I could find nothing to complain about. My Wife and I had been in Warminster looking at a camper van which we considered buying until the Habitation Inspection found damp in three different areas. So we were trying to get across country to Taunton where we wanted to view a van in Somerset Motorhome Centre and we were starting to get hungry. I spotted a sign for a Cafe on the side of a roundabout and on impulse drove into the huge parking area where lorries can stop overnight. My Missus pulled a face when she saw it as it wasn’t quite the' lunch out' she had been expecting, but she does have delusions of grandeur. When we went in it was obvious this was a Cafe, not a pretend restaurant but a proper Cafe. The tables chairs, cutlery, condiment holders were all exactly right. Comfortable, functional but totally unpretentious. The menu had exactly the right range of dishes and prices were good. The ladies working here were great too, friendly, hard working ladies who have heard it all, seen it all and still turned up for work the next day. I was in Heaven. My only concern was that it was early afternoon and I didn’t fancy a breakfast, I would have loved to sample one of their offerings. Instead I went for Gammon (huge and nicely cooked) Egg, Chips (big portion) and Beans plus a slice of bread and butter whilst she went for Fish, Chips and Peas (could have had beans) which she declared delicious. The food was cooked fresh though I doubt the fish was fresh caught, so it would have been frozen, but you expect that in a place like this. The secret is to cook it nicely and present it nicely and they did. The slice of Lemon was a nod to luxury. We both had Tea, fresh brewed, strong and hot. Everything was clean (including the toilets though they are functional and not fancy) and there wasn’t a Daily Mail or the Sun in sight. There was a pile of Trucker magazines advertising ‘Man’ for sale but that doesn’t count. In my haste I forgot to record the prices but I know they didn’t break the bank.

Nice little truck stop with friendly people. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay overnight or try the café due to the time I arrived, but it’s in a great location with fuel available. Just a heads-up—running fridges aren’t allowed overnight because of the nearby residential area. Still, it’s a beautiful spot, with a castle and a cosy pub just a short walk away. I really enjoyed my afternoon at Nunney Truck Stop I would definitely come again.

Don't get down this way very often and it's good to see they have survived the pandemic economic nightmare reasonably priced brew and sarnie although alarmingly the land behind the park is in the process of being developed for housing so it won't be long in coming before the neighbours will be complaining about the noise etc 😉

Not a great experience for us, place was rammed so people must see something we didnt. got the basic order wrong I asked for no bubble and squeak but still got a large amount hidden under the completely overcooked eggs and a child's carton of orange juice witch wasn't nice at all and the coffee was really pants. As it took best part of half hour for our breakfast to come out we thought why complain as we didn't want to wait longer. I know this is a truckers cafe and we aren't truckers so we may look at it different. So in all we definitely won't...

Unpretentious transport cafe that does what it says on the tin. Food is always served to a consistent standard, have driven across the Mendips to eat here on several occasions when I couldn't be bothered to make my own breakfast. I would personally prefer the Quorn or Linda McCartney type of veggie sausages to be served rather than the ones made of real vegetables, but that's not a criticism of the cafe. Staff always pleasant...
