Oakerside Tea Rooms — Restaurant in England

Waited 30 minutes for two cheese toasties, which didn't appear. Went to the till and were offered no apology, just a refund (and the young girl on the till didn't know how to issue one to card). The woman who had taken our order was sat at a table chatting away to some other women, clearly having forgotten our order. The young girl was fine, but seems like an easy way to lose money. I was recently treated to an afternoon tea by my friend and we came to these tea rooms. The afternoon tea was fantastic considering I have dietary requirements which made it a bit more difficult than usual for them. They went way beyond my expectations and nothing was too much trouble. There was so much we both had a takeaway box. I had extra scones too which was a bonus. I would highly recommend this tea room and will visit again...

We popped in after a long walk with our dog. We had a light lunch. We both opted for a quiche salad and cappuccino. Before we left we noticed a lovely chocolate cake which we had to try.
