This review is regarding the Sunningdale location, though I’m posting here as this page seems to get more attention and actual responses. I’m honestly not sure where to begin. A few of us decided to enjoy the sun and sit outside. We ordered two single Disaronnos with lemonade and a pint of Asahi. The place was completely empty, so we expected quick service — that didn’t happen.
We stood at the bar waiting for someone to appear from the back. Once he finally noticed us, it took another five minutes before he even started making the drinks. The barware clearly hadn’t been used in a while — he was blowing into dusty shot measures and rinsing them out. Frankly, it was off-putting. A professional bar should be set up and ready to go, not prepping as customers wait. Then came the actual drink-making, which was painfully slow. He poured one single, added lemonade, then did the second in the same manner. What wasn’t explained is that they charge per can of mixer as they I don’t think they have any draught soft drinks. So both glasses were nearly full already, and he still cracked open a fresh can to add a splash to each — a wasteful and sneaky upsell. And then proceeded to place the can away and charge us full price. As for the pint, he pulled the wrong tap at first, then poured a pint with so much foam it was laughable. My friend stayed quiet and made his way outside because I was already visibly annoyed.
Then came the bill: £31 for two singles and a pint. When I read the bill I was sure there was a mistake so I asked for a price list. It was £9.50 per single shot. Let that sink in. I saw a double is £10.50 — a detail they conveniently don’t mention. So for the sake of £1, you’re tricked into paying nearly double by default. For an area that isn’t a student zone, this pricing is absolutely unjustifiable. My partner paid the bill, and we left shortly after — dissatisfied and frustrated. Between the lack of service, lack of atmosphere, and absurd prices, it’s safe to say I won’t recommend this...
Read moreFood was nice and very nicely done but everything else was disappointing expirience. They put additional table in front of the bar and seated us there. Everytime waitress came to collect something from the bar, would lean over my friends heads. I wouldn't mind, if the restaurant was fully booked or we showed up without a reservation but with 2/3 or less of restaurant capacity it is not pleasant to be seaten in everybody's way.
It was very noisy and they still played music in the background so we couldn't hear each other properly.
I ordered a fish and was told I have to add additional side because I fish comes with 2-3 asparagus. Looking through the sides, I chose courgettes/green beans 3.25£. That's how it is written on the menu. You would expect to be mixed or at least that waitress said to me, I should choose one. But not, I was charged twice for it.
Service was the worst one that I have expirienced recently and we were charged for that. They haven't deserved a penny for the service provided. During our two hours of being there, we had 4-5 people serving us individualy. 2 of them (which is according this statistic 50% 😳) were rude to us. First time it happened when I asked politely (after walking away and doing something else) if I could get the rest of my order, because I got only a fish, no vegetables.Waitress said: "I have only two hands" Second time, another waitress was collecting our plates so my friends used an opportunity to ask for dessert menus. "Give me some time, I can't do it now, can I?" When the bill arrived we were charged 7.75£ for the service 🙄 We paid it but they haven't deserved it at all. I can understand now why they were so rude, with the tip...
Read morePazzia was an excellent find whilst spending a few nights at nearby Pennyhill hotel and spa. Our first experience was so good that we immediately returned for dinner the following night. The food is well presented, tasty, and portioned heartily at a very reasonable price point, however what really makes the place is the exceptionally warm and charismatic staff, who clearly take absolute pride in everything they do. (Apologies if names are not quite right*) James-Franco, Yassic, and the team all deserve a huge shout out here. When we dined there it was clear that both locals and visitors come back time and time again. Again, I cannot rate the service more highly, as the staff went the extra mile for off menu tweaks to the food, remembered our preferences, and were such fun to be around. The food itself was cooked perfectly to request, and seemed to be of very high quality. I’m partly not wanting to write such a good review, as I want to be able to get a table booked easily on hopefully many returns...
