Pine Lodge Tea Room — Restaurant in England

We have just returned from a Birthday treat of 4 people which our dear friends paid for .. the food was very nice although the soup was returned because it was cold ..I asked the waitress ( long hair in plats and glasses ) “ May I have some more gravy please ( exact words) she took the jug away looking a little grumpy and within seconds another jug arrived brought by a different waiter ..We continues to eat our meals the next Minuit a kitchen worker ( Liam not sure if he was a chief ) came over to our table and said “ When you ask for more gravy be polite then walked away ..my friends all looked at one another and said “ was he joking.? I said I don’t think so ..I went into the back area and asked if I had upset someone ..” The owner said I don’t think so “ then I told him what happened ..he said “ oh that was Liam “ I very nice lady waitress tried to calm the situation then Liam came out I addressed the situation with him telling I am never rude and that was not me ..He then said the waitress said it was table 1 the table I was sitting on . The waitress either needs to check her hearing to be sure she is hearing right or maybe look for a happier position ..my friend paid nearly £ 80 for a 2 course lunch that was spoilt by a unnecessary incident Liam did shake my hand but I’m afraid the lunch was spoilt my husband and I hardly ate our...

Our little lunch club has visited Pine Lodge three times. This is more than any other venue! We are taking guests there for Sunday Lunch.

We all find something on the menu to our liking, and it is tasty and plentiful.

My own meals have been the steak and ale pie, a rib-eye steak, and a sirloin steak. All have been absolutely delicious!

The steaks, while quite thin (I prefer a thick steak), are perfectly cooked as ordered. They are wonderfully juicy and tender.

(Until the two I have had at Pine Lodge, I have NEVER eaten an entire steak, there always having been some sinew or other chewy, inedible remains.)

I cannot recommend Pine Lodge highly...

Very disappointing visit.

Drink order took an hour to make it to the table and was wrong.

The food order was over an hour with many issues. •First issue being the time it took for food to get to the table. Between the first and last meal to arrive was 1.5 hours •Second issue food orders were wrong •Third issue they server someone dairy after they explained that they can not eat dairy and was assured there was no dairy in the meal. •Fourth issues there was 2 menu for a large group.

The staff need better training.
