Planet Doughnut — Restaurant in England

Delivery almost 290 miles, prompt, well communicated. DPD are just good.

OG Glaze. The classic doughnut, straight to the point. Light and fluffy dough was very nice. Glaze was tasty but too runny and ended up with a considerable amount on the paper.

The Homer Doughnut is as good as ever. Nothing really to report other than the quality that we expect. The glaze on this one is next level. The flavour really stands out and really the OG Glaze needs to take a lesson from this book.

The Oreo Slightly disappointing, the topping was below par and if it had been eaten in an unbiased blind taste test then I would not have guessed it being oreo.

Lotus. This was lovely. My favourite so far by a mile. Hard to put down exactly what made it great but the cream in the centre certainly helped. Great effort.

Brownie The Brownie itself was a lovely addition to the doughnut and not overpoweringly stodgey as I was worried it may have been. Now, I loved the cream but was it too similar to (or the same as) the cream used with the lotus? Not a problem for me because I love it, but my partner would have preferred more variety.

Jammy Dodger The jam in this is fantastic. Love the fruitiness, love the thickness. Really nice way to lift the pallet when so much of the rest...

Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed these doughnuts and NEVER would have thought they could be vegan!! They’re super delicious and all have unique flavours. All the doughnuts were delivered in great, sturdy packaging. I was concerned that in the heatwave and move they would be mushy or inedible from how they looked but the presentation stayed on point!

More information for each doughnut: Jammie dodger - probably No1 in the whole box for me! The actual doughnut was moist, the jam was perfect and just the right amount of sweetness - great touch that they actually put a jammie dodger on top too! Close 2nd would be the Homer style pink glaze and sprinkles - a real strong, yummy flavour cant put my finger on it whether it’s strawberry or raspberry. The Oreo was nice, I felt it needed a filling in the middle though. I feel you can never go wrong with salted caramel… the brownie on top was a nice touch! The original glaze styled one was okay it’s a standard enjoyable doughnut, plenty of glaze on there, very sticky to get out the box.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the doughnuts, I personally think they’re definitely bigger than say Kristy Kreme!

I will 100% be ordering from Planet...

Had doubts about the delivery and during one of the hottest weeks of the year I was expecting a melted mush of doughnut. Was pleasantly surprised by 6 well packages perfect doughnuts delivered to the door expected when they were expected. As someone who isn’t vegan I was pessimistic but wouldn’t be able to tell the difference which was great! Amazing flavours with great service. Couldn’t fault at all. Some classics and some newer flavours I’d not tried before. Didn’t disappoint, in fact far exceeded expectations and we’re still beautiful after a couple of days which is something some of the big names don’t last up to. Will definitely be ordering again couldnt...
