We did a QA with a legend experience. The QA session lasted about an hour and everyone was given the opportunity to get an autograph and a picture with the legend. The legend, Ian Callaghan had some brilliant, and often amusing, tales and answers to questions. The icing on the cake was when he got out his England 1966 world cup winners medal and we could all hold it and take pictures again. For the rest of the stadium tour you were given an interactive tablet with headphones which guided you around the tour. You are free to do it at your own pace. Our experience also allowed access to the LFC museum and they had someone on hand to take a picture of you with all 6 European cups! The whole experience was very well organised and plenty of people on hand if you neded to ask anything. A fabulous day out and a must for any LFC supporter!

Having been here a number of times I knew what to expect but the great thing about this place is, it never disappoints! The menu has something for all tastes, there are a plethora of wonderful dishes to choose from. Each day has a different special offer, make sure to check prior to your visit! The covid security is second to none throughout the entire building, with extra seating provided outdoors now to enable social distancing. Orders are made via Greene King app which is very straightforward and easy to use. We are already planning a return visit on Friday as it is 25% off challenges!!

Went for lunch on Sunday 7th July and was pleasantly surprised The last meal I had in the Plough was probably 25 years ago and it was a ploughman's, so in I went, The staff were friendly and welcoming I felt at ease straight away, that's a good thing. Next thing I noticed was the menu, after a quick scan the regular mixed grill caught my eye, It came on a sizzling plate with the egg cooked to perfection ,I like that too, All in all I liked the food and the services,so will be returning to sample some other dishes from the menu, I'll post some pictures of the menu and food prices.

Sadly, the last time we had a group booking, many items were off the menu. Despite on this occasion, checking on arrival that everything was available and being told yes, after the whole table had ordered, 10 minutes later those who ordered the steak and camembert were told that the kitchen had no camembert, causing the guests to rethink their order and delaying the rest of the table.

The dish is described as a '24oz rump steak, cooked to your liking, sliced and served with a whole baked camembert for dipping'

Quite innocently, the server offered that we could have grated cheddar. When asked if this would be melted for dipping, we were told 'yes, I suppose, or we could just sprinkle it over'....Hardly a replacement.

Due to the size of the menu, we opted for the ribeye steak sizzler, medium rare, with fried onions, peas, grilled tomato and chips as it was simple and meant the other guests wouldn't need to wait too long for their, already ordered meals. The menu has the option of having the meal on a plate which we opted for as a steak on a sizzler plate will continue cooking hard as soon as it's plated (?). Unfortunately both ribeyes arrived with no fried onions (apparently they only apply on the sizzler plate...) and we're both overcooked. Noticing a few small pieces of onion on the plate tells me that the steak had speak a minute or two on the pass sitting on a red hot sizzler plate.

Annoyingly this is the second disappointing experience at the Plough, but because I was a guest of the booker I couldn't influence the choice of the location.

Hopefully the Management team address these issues in the future and most importantly, ensure that whilst advertising the venue as a steakhouse, your staff can manage to cook a steak correctly and also manage their inventory to ensure you have the components for one of the highest priced dishes on your menu - the Steak Camembert Sharer and not advise restaurant staff to suggest...

Terrible experience. We have used this pub for a lot of years. Today was the first time back after moving out of the area. The staff were great. But the food not so. We had lots off missing items e.g. onion rings from the burger, veg from the childs meal. But most disappointing was the Burger which arrived to me stone cold. Not even a hint of tepidness in it. It would appear it was cold before assembly as the cheese hadnt even melted at all. The chips with the burger were the type you get in McD's and not the same as my son had on his childrens meal. Luckily even though short on any of the two veg advertised the childs meal was hot.

Moving on, the gravy was a big congealed lump in the gravy boat, as one of our party said you could easily stand a fork up in it, I doubt you could but you get the drift, there was a big congealed lump in the middle with a little 2mm ring of liquid around the outside of it, maybe they should sell gravy by the slice. Other meals covered in the gravy went mostly uneaten, with our party mostly saying they couldnt eat it.

We will definitely not be back which is a shame as we have had some wonderful parties in here in the past as well as family get togethers. And the kick in the teeth today was this was a birthday treat for my mother in law, she lives locally to here, but we had travelled down 40 miles for this. And the Brucie bonus was a dose of the trots for me once we got back home (related or not, who knows but having eaten cold burger your guess is as...

We visited the pub for a meal with my grandparents on the 13th October 2024, who had been before a few times and recommended it. We all ordered the beef roast dinner, but unfortunately, the meal was a big letdown. When it arrived, the food was cold. We sent it back, and while the staff were apologetic and reheated the food, it was clearly reheated in a microwave. and the quality was poor. The Yorkshire pudding was rubbery, and overall, the meal was disappointing. My grandad even commented that it was "the worst roast dinner he'd ever had."

Hoping to end on a better note, we ordered dessert. My grandparents enjoyed their apple pie, and my partner’s sticky toffee cheesecake was fine. However, I ordered the biscoff cheesecake, which had a strange texture and unpleasant taste. When we pointed this out, the waiter suggested it might have been previously frozen. She kindly offered me an alternative, and I chose the chocolate fudge cake, which was much better.

While the staff were polite and did try to rectify the issues, the overall experience was disappointing. We had high hopes but sadly wouldn’t return based...
