Arrived at the tea rooms to have drinks and food. Four of us plus a dog. It was raining so we went inside the cafe. Just sitting down when the proprietor came up to us and said ‘no dogs in the cafe, only the garden or greenhouse’. When questioned why another couple were sat with a dog he responded that he missed that, so they had to get up and move also . I asked why he didn’t have a sign at the door to avoid confusion. His response was that he usually managed to catch them as they came through. We left without purchasing anything, so his loss. He appears pleasant in his manner but is totally unprofessional in his running if his establishment. We shan’t be using his services in the future and would suggest others visiting with dogs are now aware of the ‘restrictions’. It is a shame there were not many options for vegans besides the Hummus Plate (which was a little too expensive for what it was).
