Popped in for a late lunch. It was about 2.30pm and not busy. Lovely area! We ordered and were told they were out of numbers so gave us a green cup instead. Went to sit outside, there were lots of empty tables with the numbers on! They just needed collecting. Tried a couple of tables, all quite dirty/messy. When they brought our drinks out, they struggled to find us because they’d given multiple people the same colour cup! Again, they simply needed to collect the table numbers! Considering they weren’t even busy, I would expect more. After 40+ minutes, our food came out, we were waving but they struggled to find us (because of the multiple cups the same colour!). Our food was placed on the table and then we were told they were out of certain items so had replaced them with others (without checking with us!). We were asked if it was ok but we’d waited 40 minutes and cleaned the table the best we could so just ate the food we were given (a cooked breakfast with 4 hash browns, an extra tomato (not even vine tomatoes as menu stated), and a “bigger portion” of beans to replace the missing items!). It’s quite poor that we weren’t told that items were out of stock when ordering, and that they didn’t even check with us for alternatives during the 40 minute wait. Further to this, the eggs were cold, the beans were cold, the rest was barely warm with the exception of the very hot hash browns. With a 40+ minute wait for the food, we expected the food to be hot (and as ordered!). We live local and it’s the first time we’ve popped in after driving past multiple times a week. We don’t think we’ll be back because we were quite disappointed. The location is nice and the sausages are tasty but not much else going for it! As you can see from the photo, we were served quite a sad looking breakfast really (that was cold too)!

We had the full English breakfast for our Sunday lunch and it was great! The sausages are homemade and especially tasty! The full English includes tea and coffee and for two of us came to just under £16. Service was prompt and friendly. Bad things: tables are a bit grubby (I had to ask for a cloth to wipe the tables with); there were a few flies buzzing about (I held back from asking them for a fly swatter). But I'm still giving it four stars and I would definitely come here again. Beware of opening times though - the cafe shuts before the farm shop (which we didn't actually visit).

This visit to Poplars Farm was a Christmas present. We were given the cream tea style Sunday roast. It was fabulous. We didn't know what to expect. It was very unusual with an Italian style bread starter the main course was a serving on beef pork and turkey roast potatoes and roast root veg. Followed by sherry trifle scones jam and cream and a slice of cake and pot of tea. We were supplied with take out boxes for what we couldn't eat. The place is dog friendly too which always scores high in my book Thoroughly recommend

We stopped by this place that looks very cozy and inspire trust for good food. With my wife and my son have been there for the first time ever.y wife got sausage and chips and it looked amazing (I haven't tried). With my son we had a very bad experience. We ordered a classic burger as I didn't know the place, I thouti am going to play safe with a burger and chips... Unfortthis has not been the case. After the first bite I realised that my burger was pink, so I thought I was medium rare. To make sure my son was safe, I cut in half my son's burger and it was completely raw (had the texture of raw mince meat), very very dangerous!! I returned it back and they have apologised for the inconvenience and asked me if we wanted another one. I said "No thank you"! I had other couple bites of mine and it was raw too! I have been ill for a week for food poisoning!

I completely understand that one off things can happen, however when you cook meet especially for children you need to make sure they are fully cooked otherwise you send a whole family at the hospital. When dealing with food, probably it could be a very good idea having standards on the temperature of the griddle/hob, timing and technique of cooking. This will guarantee standards and will definitely avoid food poisoning !

It's a real shame, because we do love places like that but unfortunately for us has not been safe eating in there. Thank god I have returned my son burger!

The lady attending us has been polite e felt embarrassed when I showed her my son burger.

Unfortunately this has been our experience and luckily I didn't end up in hospital, but I got a very bad food poisoning! If you go there, ask for well cooked meat and always double check if is thoroughly cooked...

This place is absolutely fantastic. Everything was so perfect and it is a place I would recommend for any age. As soon as you walk in the atmosphere hits you straight away. It is very welcoming, relaxed and warm, with lots of smiles. The cafe is off the main road but it has a sign outside so you know where to go. We ordered the quiche of the day and a burger meal, both were cooked fresh and tasted amazing. It took somewhere between 15-20 minutes to arrive. The staff were also extremely accommodating and helpful. The cafe took card, cash and contactless forms of payment. The cutlery, condiments and serviettes are placed on a free stand at a 90 degree angle between the door and till. There is enough choice of food to choose from and also vegan options. There are some fantastic deserts and scones, cream and jam. The drinks menu consists of teas, coffees and soft drinks. The cafe is big enough to dine in with a group of people. I also saw a reserved sign on one of the tables therefore I think the cafe may reserve a table for you. However I would check this though. Outside there are teepee tent stands with seating underneath. Therefore you may also choose to sit outside on a nice day. There is a small play area for children and a little area where there are some pigs, although they are fenced off. This is a great place to see as its really picturesque too, lots of green landscape to look out on. The cafe has wheelchair access on entry and exit. There is a free parking area next to the cafe too. I'm so pleased we came across this little gem but the real credit goes to Sam's Woof Wash company for...
