A very disappointing evening all round. At the time of booking the table, the specific request was for a table in the restaurant not the bar, this was confirmed as definitely the restaurant.
On arrival we were shown a table in the bar, I explained our original booking was for the restaurant, but was told that the bar was all they had. We then had to wait for the table to be wiped down before we could take our seats.
The menus handed out were different, this was explain by the waitress, as βsome of the menus were olds onesβ. We placed our order and was then informed the food would be a 30 minute wait, this turned out to way longer, nearer to 50 minutes.
Food was below average with each of us leaving food on our plates. Pub was very noisy making it difficult to have a conversation.
After making the best of a disappointing evening we asked for the bill. The bill arrived with several drinks added to our bill which werenβt ours, the second bill arrived but then had a further drink which wasnβt ours, the 3rd and final bill was correct! Iβm happy to pay for good food and service but not for something we havenβt had!
All these issues appeared to be normal practice ! Wouldnβt recommend this venue, ok for a night out with the lads but definitely not an evening out...

Confusingly we've been aloud 2 times before with the dog, and a friend of the land lord was sitting at the bar with his dog at the time. There's no mention anywhere that dogs aren't welcome on the premises. And if your going to take a stand that dogs aren't allowed in the pub then be consistent, and enforce it fairly. The pub is situated along the Frome Valley walkway right in the heart of dog walking country. So it baffles me why the Globe would alienate a huge portion of its potential clientele. That said the food is good and the staff are polite...

Excellent large, flat beer garden with quite a few tables and chairs to sit on. Play equipment for the young ones. Inside was very pleasant, very typical of the age of pub in the area. They did advertise food, which looked good, but we didn't have the opportunity to try, will do in the future for sure. The function room was large and with good seating if required. I enjoyed the evening and was left with a feeling I would like to return for another visit. The bar staff were efficient and they have a good selection of drinks, even...
