Whilst I would recommend the food, I wouldn't recommend using a The Price is Wight voucher. We purchased the voucher before Christmas, but didn't realise if you were using the voucher you'd be extremely limited to what you could use it on (without paying a supplement). I was dining with someone with eating difficulties and the only suitable thing on the limited menu was pie. The pie was good, the chips were lovely and the accompanying veg was also delicious. However, we came on a Thursday which is pie night - free pudding with a pie. So we spent £40 on the voucher, for a meal that would've only cost £36 had we paid directly. The cheesecake was lovely, as was the chocolate garnish, but the brownie was slightly greasy and rubbery and not very chocolatey/rich. I wouldn't have been happy to pay £8 for that in all honesty. Service was faultless and it was clean and warm. Be warned if you're thinking of using a TPIW voucher! The choices were fish-heavy, spicy, mushrooms on flatbread, or pie. A party of us booked for Sunday lunch. Firstly we were told we couldn't go to the bar they'd come to us. 5 more of our party entered & got served at the bar. Wrong drinks delivered to the table then wrong meals. Plate's were not cleared off the table, ordered desserts & more drinks & not 1 empty glass collected or dishes. Very poor service from the time of entering until leaving. Roast dinners was reheated, Yorkshire puddings like rubber. I usually visit this pub on a regular basis and have found the two women behind the bar very helpful and pleasant. However, there is a bloke there who is the most unpleasant person on the planet! He is so obnoxious and unpleasant in his manner. He is supposed to be nice to his customers. No, not him! Each time I have been in this pub,he is always unhelpful and confrontational in every respect. As a result of this incident, I will not be returning .
