I have given exceptional reviews for this pub in the past as usually the food is amazing

We went in for breakfast yesterday and the food wasn't very good at all

My partner got waffles your way which she enjoyed

I got jam on toast which was lovely, however, there wasn't enough butter.

The main problem was the breakfast butty I asked for sausage and bacon, the biggest issue that I had I was asked if I had any allergies which I replied yes I do and that is onion and garlic.

The sausages I could taste onion in them so I took them off and gave them to my partner as she is okay with them but I had already had a small bit of sausage

The bacon was soggy and so was the bread, the chef who was on had clearly just buttered the bread and rather than crisping up the bacon he hadn't.

He had taken the bacon straight off of the grill straight on to the bread which caused the bread to absorb the grease and go soggy.

I was a chef for 5 years in various restaurants and bars in Harrogate and Leeds, so I know what I am talking about.

I am now suffering with a bad stomach so not a great experience sorry.

However your pub is my usual go to for meals and I don't want that to change based on one bad experience, we usually like your food that much that we came in for boxing day dinner last year.

But for me to have a bad stomach like I have isn't good I should have been advised that the sausages contained onion especially when I have an...

Went here today for lunch, the menu is good, food is priced fairly. although today the food itself was quite disappointing, myself and my friend took advantage of one of the offers, i had the lasagne with added garlic bread, the garlic bread was lovely, but unfortunately the lasagne looked like mushed up baby food smothered with cheese. This is too how it tasted! None of our party was wowed by the meals today, felt like they was just basically'ok'. As we entered we bought some drinks, my colleague ordered a wine spritzer and was given numerous wines to choose from, this was great, when she went back for her second she was served by a different member of staff and was then asked if she would like to buy the btl as today they have an offer on, this would have been nice to know upon our arrival by the first team member, not 20minutes before we was due to leave. We shall remember that offer for next time tho! I would just also like to add, each of our drinks round we were served our drinks in disgustingly dirty glasses, these clearly haven't been renovated in a while! it is kind of off-putting when your supposed to drink from these. over all maybe just a bad day for them, it won't stop us...

We came here recently for a birthday meal (brought our own cake) with the family (5 adults, 1 child) as we love this place but we were a little disappointed on this occasion. It wasn't very busy and we didn't have long to wait for our food or drinks which was great but that's where the service stopped....

Nobody came to check if everything was okay with our food (Korean BBQ burger had next to no BBQ sauce on it, 12oz steak was blue/rare and definitely not medium, and the gravy dip burger had very little gravy on it, the other meals were okay).

After about 45 minutes after we had finished, we were still waiting for the table to be cleared. We gave up in the end and asked at the bar if somebody could clear our table. Someone came and cleared some of it then never came back for the rest. We moved the plates to a nearby table and asked if the cake could be brought out, which took another 15 minutes.

It's not usually like this so we will likely return but this visit was definitely one to remember, but sadly not for the...
