I expected a greasy spoon, what I got was a farm-shop quality at greasy spoon prices. The setting and views are fantastic. The owners were welcoming, very genuine and efficient. Service was quick and friendly. I had bacon, sausage and egg breakfast sandwiches (muffins). As an expert on this food, the eggs tasted free range, possibly from the local hens (see pic). Bacon and sausage clearly farm/butcher quality. You'd be mad not to stop by, the home-baked cakes and sausage rolls also looked lovely but I was full after the sandwich, so one to try next time.

Isobel and Tommy are absolute gems of people. The almond biscuits were the best i have every had. We were away for a week and this was the best food we had. Dog friendly and great Vegan options. I never got to try fish n chips but they looked amazing! The coffee and tea were great and everything was really reasonably priced. The cafe has lovely views and was super comfortable. Amazing walks out the back to Roman ruins. Chickens in the garden area too. What more could you want. Looking forward to making it a regular stop.

This is one the most beautiful café I have visited, lovely and much needed location. The people are friendly and food is good. This is the last cafe in England 🇬🇧 The food and drink are reasonably priced considering the location and need of taking breaks. Egg sandwich was unique, good in size and most importantly very good. It's freshly made when orders. There are plenty of spaces for dining in and out. Location and view are great. A cafe in a country side.

A Cozy Gem with Great Service!

I recently visited the Rochester Relish Cafe and had a lovely experience! While the coffee was average, the service made up for it in spades. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure I felt welcome and comfortable.

The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to catch up with friends or get some work done. The decor was modern and stylish, with plenty of natural light pouring in through the large windows.

While the coffee may not have been the best I've ever had, it was still a decent cuppa. However, the excellent service and warm atmosphere more than made up for it. I'll definitely be back to try their food menu and enjoy the friendly hospitality again!

Recommended for: Those looking for a cozy spot with great service and a friendly atmosphere. Perfect for casual meetups or a...

This cafe is located in Rochester and is billed as the first and last in England after/before crossing the Scottish border farther north at Carter Bar. We visited near closing time (which is currently 4.00pm) and were quickly served 'normal' coffees. We fancied the fruit cake which were served in their cellophane wrappings. Both cake and coffee were really nice and cost £8. We noticed quite a long menu on the board behind the counter so larger appetites would be well catered for. There is a large and well stocked information point in the adjoining room. Toilets are upstairs. They were small but clean. Dedicated parking is available both sides of the A68. The cafe is clearly signposted from both directions and being located in a 30mph zone it's...

'The Last Cafe in England!' proclaims the sign outside Rochester Relish, which persuaded me to drop in on my way up to Scotland for some breakfast and a cuppa. There is plenty of free parking by the cafe and on the opposite side of the road. Bikers and HGVs are welcome. Toilets are upstairs. Plenty of seating either inside or out in the conservatory, where you can watch the hens running about and enjoy the view of the gardens (more seating) and the fields beyond. Scrambled eggs was 👌 - my only wee criticism is it would have been nice to have some chunkier toast rather than the thin sliced stuff. Prices are very reasonable and staff were really friendly. Will definitely stop off here again (maybe on my way back!) and try the Full English...
