Round House Hub & Cafe — Restaurant in England

Not sure what’s happened since I last visited, this was my favourite place and was a regular visitor usually a group of us. Well after how we were made to feel at the weekend, I will never return! Lady with the grey hair, in a pony tail that was serving and barking orders at other staff really needs to learn how to approach situations, needs to learn some customer service skills and especially needs to learn how to speak to staff in front of customers. I won’t go into detail but what an embarrassment. Such a shame, the usual staff have always been hardworking and lovely and the younger girls working deserve a pat on the back having to deal with a staff member breathing down their necks like that, in front of customers. Most awkward atmosphere I’ve sat in while having coffee. If it was my choice I would of walked out but our food and drinks had been ordered so we decided to stay but most definitely will be...

Warning! Hot food (including baguettes and toast) can only be ordered up to 45 minutes before closing time.

We had specially chosen this destination and travelled from the Lake District to the coast and were correspondingly hungry. We were there 50 minutes before closing time, I was at the counter 44 minutes before closing time to order. However, it was deserted for 3 minutes because they were clearing up and doing other things.

41 minutes before closing time I wanted to order, but I was told that unfortunately, unfortunately no more orders had been accepted for 4 minutes!

Such a poor service to the customer and lousy service awareness!

If the cafe is open, I expect to get something!

If you don't want to sell anything 45 minutes before closing time, then that should be on the homepage!

We were very disappointed about this lack of customer attention.

Been for a walk on the beach it was cold and windy so went into the Round House Hub and Cafe for refreshments. My wife had the soup and large bun and I had cheese and ham pannini with salad . Two coffees and a cake each, very reasonably priced. The service was excellent and the sea view lovely. Several tables had well behaved dogs sat patiently waiting and hoping to be stroked underneath. Personally I think it is good in a popular dog walking area to allow well behaved dogs to come in . A lovely place to visit to sit inside or out . Lucky it is on...
