Saffron Stalbridge — Restaurant in England

On arrival this establishment looks rough, as I had pre ordered our meal before collection I had no option but to pick up the meal and hope for the best. The chana massala was off, as soon as you took the lid off the container the putrid smell hit me in the face. The vegetable curry was watery with no substance or taste as was the lamb rogan. The chicken tika had a taste but not that much, the mint sauce was pink! I would advise people NOT to eat from this Indian restaurant if that is what they call it. A newly opened restaurant in Stalbridge that is trying very hard to establish itself after the nearby one where they worked, closed down. The entrance could be smarter and they might have a rethink about the interior decor, but these are clearly difficult times and these changes will take time. The food was excellent and the owners are both very friendly and helpful. They are very keen to accommodate any special requests and with this positive attitude, I am confident they can make a success of this place especially with so few dine in Indian / Bangladeshi restaurants in the area. Went to Saffron restaurant this evening. Had been to their previous restaurant in Henstridge and always had a good meal. Their change of location has not affected the quality of their food, friendliness or service. All remain excellent. Unfortunately, the meal I ordered was more spicy than I realised! Not only did they provide me with some natural yoghurt but when that wasn't enough, they insisted on cooking me a whole new meal that was less spicy!!
