Sharon's Diner — Restaurant in England

I think 3* overall is fair for my experience. This place isn’t hard to find, it’s literally at the side of the road.

It says “eat in” in the pictures and on here, that may have been the case pre covid BUT NOT NOW. You can’t eat inside. There is picnic benches outside but these are on uneven ground under trees and have seen better days which isn’t ideal. Especially as it started to spit with rain while I had to eat my food. The fact they haven’t removed the “eat in” is deserving of a 1*

The best way to describe this place is a glorified burger van (that’s not a bad thing). I ordered the chilli con carne and I’m not happy to admit that it was terrible, it was more of a curry with the odd bit of mince floating in a sea of sauce. This should be advertised as a curry not chilli. I can imagine things like burgers and baguettes are fine so if you eat here stick to burger van food and don’t go a la carte.

There was a woman here on her own (I came mid afternoon) so I don’t know if she usually has others working in peak times but if not I can imagine you’d have a bit of a wait. The customer service was average, not the best but not the worst.

2nd visit here within a week as 1st visit was great. 2nd visit couldn't have been more different! If there is a queue walk away. Food is rushed my beans hardly shown any cooking, bacon still oinking, sausage only a thin strip cooked, plum tomatoes made everything soggy and lastly the egg was so full of whites I didn't even get a mouthful of yolk! Tea is cold by the time food is barely cooked as rushing to serve the queue. Best breakfast is at Elm Court Garden Centre it may be a little more expensive, however it's cooked and doesn't take that long to be served! I don't know whether it's the same cook/s every day??
